My Arranged Marriage to Alex Gaskarth

Eden was in her kitchen, having just baked some treats for tonight’s dinner. Eden snapped out of her brief reverie as the timer on her oven beeped, Eden smiled as her eyes took in the golden treats.
She took the freshly baked apple turnovers out of the oven, the freshly baked aroma of sugar and apples and freshly made pastry bathed the house with such a succulent air that it made Eden smile.

Alex suddenly appeared out of nowhere and stood in the kitchen doorway. Eden laughed as his eyes were focused on the six golden treats, she eyed her husband suspiciously and the moment she saw the mischievous gleam in his brown eyes, she knew what he would do.
“Don’t even think about it Gaskarth” She warned and Alex looked at her whilst bitting his bottom lip.

“Alex no!” Eden said as he quickly moved from the doorway towards the kitchen counter, she ran in front of his large frame and place both her hands on his chest pushing him away with all her might.
“Oh come on! Just one!” Alex begged as he reached behind her with his long lanky arm.
“No Alex!” Eden replied sternly but Alex wouldn’t have it and kept pushing against her to reach for it, Eden knew of a specific distraction that may just work.
“Oh come on Ede-” Alex started to say before Eden crashed her lips against his, Alex was shocked but it took no time for stop reaching the treats and pulling his wife closer to him and kissing her passionately.

“Not fair, you play dirty” Alex pouted when the kiss broke and Eden couldn’t help but giggle.
“Don’t say you didn’t like it” Eden smiled and Alex had a bit of a goofy grin, Eden turned around a before she knew it a hand snatched out of her cooling apple turnovers from the cooling rack.
“No Alex it’s...” Eden said quickly but too late her brilliant husband took a bite and spat it out,
“...Hot” Eden sighed and looked up ceiling praying for patience whilst her husband gulped cold milk from the carton trying to cool his now burnt tongue. Eden rubbed her temple slowly when Alex looked at her with a wounded puppy dog eyes.

“Sorry” He said rather sheepishly, Eden rolled her eyes and walked up to him.
“Are you okay?” She wrapped her arms around his neck and Alex bent his head and gently placed a loving kiss on her lips.
“Now I am.” He smiled and kissed her cheek, she returned the gesture.
“Next time do listen to me” She shook her head and started walking away but Alex pulled her back against him.
“Eden do you think our plan will work?” Alex looked down at her and Eden bit her lip.
“It has too sweetheart” Eden sighed and looked down, Alex tipped her chin up,
“I think I want another kiss” He said his voice slightly husky; Eden smiled and heard the doorbell.
“I think you should open the door.” She replied teasingly and pushed a groaning Alex away.

Mina’s P.O.V

Mina knocked lightly on the door of the Gaskarth home, she felt nervous for some unknown reason.
“Hey!” A happily Alex slightly lisped when he opened the door, Mina furrowed her eye brows...Since when did Alex lisp?
“Hey...” Even to her own ears her voice lacked it’s usually happiness but how can she be happy when the love of her life hasn’t tried any form of contact with her for the past week?
“Come on in!” He said and again there was a lisp, Mina furrowed her eyebrows.

“Thank you” She said again almost shyly which was absurd! How many times has she been here before!?
“Mina! You’re finally here!” Eden grinned and pulled the fragile girl in her arms for a tight hug.
“I made lasagne! And some apple turnovers and-” Eden said before Alex interrupted her by asking if he should set up the table, again with that lisp!

“I have to ask Alex since when did you get a lisp!? Was it always there and I just never heard it?” Mina burst out and made Alex and Eden both crack up laughing.
“He burnt his tongue by stealing a hot apple turnover straight from the oven when I specifically said no.” Eden rolled her eyes and Mina had to laugh at Alex’s bashful expression.

Once they were at the table Mina couldn’t help but look away when she saw the way Alex held Eden’s hand or the looks they’d give each other. Mina sighed whilst thinking of her hazel eyed beau, she looked out the window and zoned out the conversation Alex and Eden were having. What was Zack doing right now? Was he okay? How was his cousin Tasha and her miracle baby? Mina looked down at her left hand where the engagement ring was still there on her fourth finger, were they still engaged or did he not want to marry her anymore? Mina felt a sense of anguish well up in her.

How is she going to stop loving Zack if he doesn’t want her anymore? Mina felt tears well up in her eyes.
“Mina!” Both Alex and Eden yelled at the same time which made Mina jump,
“H-huh?” She stuttered and both Alex and Eden looked at her with worry.
“Are you okay love?” Alex asked a worried frown adorned his face.
“I’m okay b-but I t-think I should go...” Mina stuttered her voice barely above a whisper.

Mina didn’t understand the panicked look that came in both Alex and Eden’s eyes; they seemed so in sync that they even both glanced at the clock on their wall at the same time.
“No...I should go, I’m not great company anyway” Mina stood up and Alex scratched the back of his neck awkwardly.
“We have apple turnovers to eat! There’s even whipped cream!” Eden argued but Mina was on her way to the front door.

“No really, I’m terribly sorry I-I just need to go...” Mina had her hand on the door knob.
“I love you” she said to them as she opened the door and found her eyes connect with a familiar chest and as she looked up, the mesmerising hazel eyes that she loved so much connected with her own...Mina’s heart went ballistic.
“Zack...” Mina whispered almost inaudibly, Mina’s eyes saw another figure and her eyes widen.
“John?” she gasped.
