Not So Bad
Before we knew it, District academics was just a day away.
There was a game the night before, so the dancers were in the gym stretching while waiting for the band to come in & get set up. As they walked in, I saw him walk by & followed him with my eyes. I glanced away & began to concentrate on stretching once again.
The game was the usual; danced at pre-game, halftime, & 4th quarter.
The game flew by & we were ready to leave. I looked at him one last time for the time for the night.
"I think I can actually live with it now," I told Paige as I nodded my head, still staring at him, "I'll just have to settle for drop dead sexy instead of adorable." We laughed as we went home to prepare for the day ahead.
