Love at First Fright
Chapter 6
Rain, I could smell it in the salty air.
It tasted like death.
Smelled like death.
Today was her funeral, and I was going.
I didn’t tell the guys. They wouldn’t understand. They only knew what was in front of them. She wasn’t in front of me.
She was my sickness, my want and my need. I didn’t even know her that long. But when I met her she was something different.
I got ready in my best dress clothing and placed my fedora on my head and sunglasses on my face.
I ran down the stairs. I was going to be late for the funeral.
I stood away from a far.
I could see her beauty wavering off of her.
Even in death she was perfect…….
Awake
I cracked in the middle of the night.
Her funeral was later today. She could be gone from me.
I got dressed in clothes on the floor ran downstairs to the garage and straight into my car.
I drove to the funeral home.
Once there I didn’t see anyone there.
Not even the funeral director.
Funny thing was, when I got near the doors they were already unlocked.
Strange!
I walked inside and saw her casket was still open.
The closer I got the more nervous I was.
I saw her.
Sleeping like a twisted snow white.
Even in death she was beautiful.
Porcelain skin and ruby red lips. She’s was all mine to have.
I kissed her cold dead lips.
I placed on my gloves and grabbed her out of the casket.
I then carried her bridal style out of here. She didn’t need this cold dark place.
Once outside I saw the car and placed her in the front gently.
“Dude, you’re fucking sick!” I heard someone say.
I nearly dropped myself when I saw Zacky standing there.
“What are you doing here?” I said composing myself.
“I knew you would snap. You’re fixated with her. So I felt obligated to help. Because no offense, we can’t have you go to prison.” He said.
“Thanks Zacky!” I said.
I drove home, and once inside the garage I opened the door of the car.
I grabbed her gently from the passenger side of the car and into the house.
Once inside I carried her to my room.
I placed her gently on my bed. I lay down next to her. She was cold. But I didn’t mind. I was glad.
I fell asleep with her in my arms.
But when I awoke the next morning she wasn’t there.
It tasted like death.
Smelled like death.
