Ashtons POV-
"You're so brave, Ashton."
"I don't feel that way."
"Well, you are." John proclaimed.
"Everything is getting better, isn't it?"
"Slowly, but yes."
Brian is set to go to jail. After a long run in court, it was finally over. I can finally restart my life.
"I want to talk to you." John muttered.
"We already are talking." I laughed.
"Can we go outside?"
"Sure."
We sat down next to the pool, letting our feet dangle in the water.
"Ashton, I know things are rough right now." John began. "But, I wanted to talk about... Us."
"Us?"
"I know that this is soon-"
"You are the best thing in my life, John." I interrupted. "You always have been."
John smirked. "That's who I feel about you. It's weird for me to say it, but I've been in love with you for years. I just always thought you were too good for me."
"Too good for you?" I shouted in shock. "That's crazy."
"It's true. You seemed like you always had things figured out."
"And that couldn't be further from the truth." I laughed. "I need you in my life. That is really cheesy. I'm sorry, but you mean a lot to me."
John smiled widely as his eyes turned from the water to me.
"Oh and John, I'll be staying in Arizona from now on.
"Seriously, you're going to stay?"
"Yeah, everyone I love is here. I should be here."
"Ash, I love you."

"I don't feel that way."
