She didn’t know what to say.
Even as he stood before her, half-dressed and with a smudge of lipstick on his neck.
So many questions and thoughts filled her mind; it was impossible to make sense of anything.
She watched as the other girl picked her clothes up off the floor and rushed out the door, leaving behind a trail of dignity.
“I-I don’t know what to say.” She was honest.
He shook his head, taking a step forward. “Neither do I.” He was honest.
She took a step back, walking out the door, his calls going unanswered behind her.
