Kris looked at the phone, “No dude! This is SO not happening!”
“W-What? What did I do?” Mikey had mixed feelings at that moment.
“I, Well, No, I can’t. I’m going out with Joe. I’m sorry.”
Mikey hung up.
Kris could not believe what had just happened. She wanted to call Ray, but didn’t know what her reaction would be. Probably something like “Oh, you whore! Stop calling me!”
Kris called her anyway, “Hello?”
“This is Mart’s pizza place, I’m sorry I didn’t get your order.”
“What? I didn’t order pizza.”
“Oh, I’m sorry. Bye, bye.”
Kris hung up, prank calls were so fun.
She called Joe back, “Hey Kris. Sorry for the urgent hang-up.”
“Nah, it’s cool.”
“Hey, Kris?” asked Joe.
“What?” she was curious.
“Is there some possible way you can get on this bus?”
Kris was surprised, “Well, I-maybe if you just stayed there! Oh my gosh Joe, this is wicked!”
Joe laughed over the phone, “Yeah I will be. Hmm so…”
They continued to plot how to do this. Joe suggested a plane, they were stopping in Colorado in 2 days, but Kris protested saying she didn’t have the money for that. She said she could just take her car. He laughed and told her he had the money. She laughed and agreed.
“So,” said Joe. “I’ll see you soon?”
“Yup! Love you!”
“Love you too,” he said.
They hung up and she smiled, “This will be awesome!”
