The Morning After and Shopping
Roxy’s POV
Waking up in Geno’s arms was amazing, somehow in the night we changed positions and now we were spooning. I usually hate spooning but with Geno it just felt right, like most things we do together. I felt so safe and loved. A phone started ringing and without opening my eyes I found it and answered it.
“Hello?” I said tiredly and what I got back was a woman’s voice but in a different language. I pulled the phone away from my ear and opened my eyes to see I had Geno’s phone, shit. I turned over to see him still sleeping, I nudged him and he pulled me back to him. “Babe, someone is on the phone” I whispered to him
“Don’t answer” he said with his accent being thicker from sleep.
“I already did. It is a woman, it might be your mom” I said and passed him the phone
He took it and said “hello” without opening his eyes. Then his eyes popped open and sat up real fast causing him to almost bash his head into mine. He got really angry and started almost yelling into the phone. I couldn’t understand a word he was saying but I knew that tone of voice and the look on his face. I started to rub my hand up and down his back to calm him down but he just shook me off, got out of bed, put on some sweats then left the room. I checked the time to see it was only 9:30 so I slowly got out of bed and went to the bag I packed last night to get my clothes out for today then I made my way to the bathroom for a shower.
I was about half way through my shower when there was a knock on the door and I ignored it. Then I heard the door open and a soft “Come in?” from him.
“Sure, it’s your bathroom” I said over the water.
It was quite for a while before he said “I’m sorry” and I stuck my head out of the shower to see him sitting on the toilet looking down at his hands.
“I was just trying to help” I said going back to my shower.
“I know, she make me so mad” he said
“I know but you have to remember I am not her” I said knowing it was his ex girlfriend that called. I was in the middle of washing my body when he ripped open the curtain and scared me half to death. “Are you trying to kill me?” I asked putting a hand to my chest over my racing heart.
“No, nothing like her” he said taking my face into his hands and looking me right in the eyes.
“More beautiful, funny, nice, sweet, smart” he said and gave me a kiss in between each one.
“It just hurt” I said “Like you didn’t want to be around me”
“No, I love you. She make me angry and I need to get away before I do something bad.” He said as I rinsed my body from the soap and turned off the water. I went to reach for a towel but he beat me to it and held it out for me to step in. He wrapped it around me then gave me a big hug, “I love you” he whispered into my ear and I almost melted.
“I love you too” I said and rested my head on his chest. He squeezed a little tighter before letting me go. I went to go dry myself off but he was still standing there staring at me “Gonna watch?” I asked mimicking him from yesterday in the locker room.
“Maybe” he said and sat back down on the toilet, so I dried myself off and put on my underwear and bra. “Tease” he said
“You didn’t have to stay and watch” I said with a smirk and started to brush my hair.
“I know” he said still watching me get ready.
“So what are you going to do today?” I asked putting on my jeans.
“Some guys getting together, then maybe workout some” he said
“That sounds fun, just don’t push yourself on the workout” I said starting my makeup.
He got up and came behind me and wrapped his arms around me “I won’t, promise” and kissed the top of my head.
“Good because you are playing tomorrow and you can’t do that if you hurt yourself today” I said with a smile
“Don’t know that” he said
“Dan said that the extra practices were to make sure you were ready and he was pretty certain you will play tomorrow” I said and he smiled.
“How close is Jordan?” he asked going into his room
“I think he is a couple of weeks out if he keeps at the pace he is going” I said finishing up my makeup. “He is getting on the ice with me tomorrow” I said putting my shirt on.
He poked his head in “Getting on ice?”
“I will probably stay on the bench and tell him what to do and have Mike help me with being on the ice” I said “Don’t worry I wouldn’t let him teach me how to skate when you want to do it so bad”
“Good, I teach you” he said and disappeared again. By the time I got ready it was 10:30 and I needed to get going. I found Geno down in the living room eating some cereal and watching ESPN.
“I need to get going” I said walking over and kissing his forehead.
“See you later?” he asked
“I don’t know how long I will be out shopping. Text me when you go to work out I might meet you there.” I said gathering my stuff to go home.
“Ok, see you later” he said getting off the couch and walking me to the door. We kissed, exchanged ‘I love you’s’ and I was on my way to pick Sarah up then off to Vero’s. I picked Sarah up and called Vero to tell her I was on the way. Soon we were on our way to a costume shop Vero wanted to go to.
“So how are you and Geno?” Vero asked from the backseat.
“We are good, really good” I said with a smile
“Oh my gosh you told him!” Sarah said
“Told who what?” Vero questioned from the back seat.
“She told him that she loves him” she said
“Did you?”
“He actually said it first” I said
“How did it happen?”
“He was teaching me to skate and we fell and he just said it. I could see in his eyes that he really meant it and I said it back” I said pulling into the parking lot.
“That is so cute” they both said as we climbed out of the car.
We had such a good time trying on outfits and deciding on what we wanted. I was torn between sexy cop and a sex referee.
“I say go for the ref, the boys will love it and you look great in it” Sarah said
“Yeah, if Geno can keep his hands off of you then something is wrong with that boy” she said and I laughed knowing she was right.
“Ok, I’m going to go for it” I said “So have either of you decided?”
“I think I am going to go for the Indian one” Sarah said holding up a two piece skin toned Indian costume with fringe and beading.
“That one looks good with your tan” Vero said
“And what about you?” I asked her
“I am going to buy a nurse one for me and a doctor one for Marc” she said with a smile
“That will be cute” Sarah said as we made our way to buy our costumes. We bought them and made our way back to Vero’s house. When we got there a lot of cars were parked in the driveway.
“The boys must be over” Vero said “Do you want to come in?” she asked us
“Sure” I said and Sarah nodded. We made our way into the beautiful house and finally found all the boys in the basement which was converted to Marc’s ‘man cave’. It was covered with jerseys, medals, trophies, and pictures. “We’re home” Vero announced, went over to Marc and gave him a kiss.
“Hey Sarah!” everyone practically yelled
“What am I chopped liver?” I asked
“We see you everyday” TK said not looking away from the video game he was losing.
“Well you suck at this game” I said making my way over to Geno who was sitting in a recliner.
“Like you could do better” he said with a laugh and some guys joined in.
“I bet I could do better that you” I said sitting down on G’s lap.
“How much do you want to bet?” he asked after he died for the third time.
“Hundred bucks?” I asked
“Fine, I don’t want to take too much of your money” he said as I grabbed one of the controllers and sat down to duel it out with him. It didn’t take long for me to kill off one of his lives. Slowly everyone was turning on TK and rooting me on. By the time I had won he only killed me once while I killed him ten times.
“I will take that 100 bucks now” I said extending my hand out. He dug out his wallet and sadly handed over 100 dollars. “That teaches you not to judge a book by its cover” I said and made my way back to Geno.
I cuddled into his lap and he kissed my head. “I am ‘bout to head out. So you want to come workout with me?” he asked
“Yeah” I said and we got up. I went over to Sarah, who was sitting on a couch next to Sidney talking softly, and handed her the keys.
“Where are you two going?” Jordan asked
“We are going to go workout” Geno said
“Didn’t you workout enough last night?” He said with a huge smile and I whipped my head around to see Geno glaring at him.
“You told them?” I asked getting mad.
“No! I promise” he said and Jordan busted out laughing.
“Oh my god, it actually worked” he said in between laughter “I was just fishing and I actually got you”
“Well at least he is getting some” I said and made my way to the stairs with Geno in tow, while everyone else laughed in Jordan’s expense.
“I love you” he said giving me a big hug and a kiss once we were up the stairs.
“I love you too” I said into the kiss “and I love messing with them”

I like this chapter but the next few are going to be good, I have his first game back and the Halloween party to write, does anyone have any ideas for some costumes for the boys to wear? Comments are always welcomed and appreciated!!!!!On another note....Geno scored a Hat Trick for Russia today and they are going to the Gold Medal game. I am SOO excited for him and I hope they win Gold!!
