Please Stay

Suddenly everything went dark after Sage started to walk down the stairs; I heard someone’s voice scream “Dad” but I couldn’t tell whose it was. I could feel something wet under my leg when suddenly a hand slipped onto the side of it and applied pressure. I gasped in pain as the pressure was applied, my mind swimming with thoughts of death and blood.
“Dad, are you okay?” asked a female’s voice
I slowly opened my eyes to see two amber eyes staring at me along with chocolate ones, I recognized Sage and Kyle. Kyle looked concern and angry at the same time, that’s when I noticed the large cut going across sage’s cheek.
“Sage…where d-did you…get that cut?” I asked as my strength started to return
“Oh, I fell…no big deal but we need to get this fixed up. Can you…hop?” she asked
“Hop?”
“Yeah, you aren’t walking on it. Unless you love wheelchairs”
I glared at her, “I can hop, not that hard”
She smiled and then, along with Kyle, helped me up. I grunted in pain as I lightly put my foot down where the graze was, but I quickly shot it back up.
“Dad, I don’t think you should walk on it. It could hurt you more” Stella said as she walked towards us
“Sage, did you get the bleeding to stop?” asked Kyle
That’s when I noticed Sage still on the ground trying to force the blood to stop. “Sage, I got it…just wrap something around it” I said as she growled in frustration
“Okay” she said as she got up and walked upstairs.
Moments later she came back down with a cloth, she wrapped it around the wound, it stung a little but I ignored it. I limped to the car when it hit me.
“I can’t drive like this” I said as I turned around
“Well none of us can’t either, we’re only fourteen and Kyle’s fifteen” Stella said
“Well then I’ll drive since I’m the oldest” Kyle suggested as he reached for the keys
Sage quickly snatched the keys and shook her head, “I know how to drive, don’t ask though” she warned
Kyle pouted for a little bit then realized that a large black SUV was driving towards us. We rushed into the car, as Sage closed the door and drove off the SUV tried to cause us to crash but failed. She sped down the highway as we made our way to the F.B.I building.
“Sage, could you drive a little slower?” I asked
“Oh, yeah…sorry” she said as she lowered the speed
I looked out the window to see the SUV beside us, Sage also saw it when she sped up and started to swerve between cars. I didn’t say anything since I knew she had to do this in order to get away from the other truck. She almost suddenly swerved into some woods beside the road; Stella screamed as she drove through the forest and almost drove off a cliff.
“Sage be more careful, you’re going to get us killed!” shrieked Stella
“I’m trying, I think we lost them though” she sighed in relief as no other truck or car appeared beside us or behind us.
“Alright, just get to the building” I said as I watched as tree went by us
“Wait, I can call Diamond and Skyler to come and help, they are our cousins and do live with their mother too. We always made front of our best friends who were cops” Sage said as she stopped next to the building. (More like behind it)
“Oh yeah, Uncle James’ and Brandon’s kids, man I only saw their brothers not them in a while” Kyle said
“Yeah I know, we are all like triplets”
“Triplets” I asked, looking at my daughter in confusion
Sage nodded, “We all pick a fight and force people to stop doing something that’s going to kill someone. Except, Skyler is the more the shy one and doesn’t like to fight as much as Diamond and me”
“Oh, okay well where are they?” asked Stella
“Here, they’re staying with their fathers too; all three of our mothers had to go on that trip. Don’t know if they’re here, I think he’s only going after mom and me”
“Well, there’s only one way to find out” Kyle sighed
Sage’s POV
I got out and helped Kyle to get my father inside, once we got in there my dad told us to go into the elevator. Stella groaned as we had to stand there, until we reached the third floor.
“It’s only a few seconds Stella” I said as I looked at her
“I know but…I hate going to F.B.I and police stations” she sighed
“You’ve only been here, not to a police station” my dad said confused
Stella’s eyes filled with regret and fear as she stumbled over some more words, but I guess my dad understood what she was saying because I didn’t. When we got to the third floor Diamond, Skyler, their two brothers; Cory and Dylan were there also.
Diamond is tall, skinny, olive skin, bright blue eyes, and black silky hair and was very strong. I was still stronger though, Skyler is a little shorter, dark brown hair and hazel eyes. Cory had lighter skin, chocolate brown eyes, and caramel brown hair and was somewhat tall. Dylan had lighter skin, brown eyes, somewhat tall and had ginger colored hair.
Now my uncles were almost like my father, my first uncle (the oldest brother also) has black hair, brown eyes, tall, olive skin, muscular and was actually handsome. My other uncle, (second oldest), was slightly shorter, black hair, lighter skin and has hazel eyes. My father was youngest but the strongest, like with Diamond, Skyler and I. I was the youngest but strongest, Diamond is a week older than me, and Skyler is three days older than me.
“Same thing happened to you?” asked my uncle, James, diamond’s father
“Yeah, except we escaped from those guys…looks like you two got quite a beating” my father said as he observed them
“Yeah…well you got shot” Skyler’s father said, Uncle Brandon
“Nope, a bullet just grazed my leg, okay I can sit right here” he said as he looked at Kyle and me
“Okay”
Diamond and Skyler ran up and buried me in a hug, I gasped. “Okay, choking not breathing!”
We all chuckled and sat down, for about an hour my father, uncle James, uncle Brandon, Cory, Dylan, Kyle, Stella, Diamond, Skyler and I all talked. We talked about how our lives have been, how was school, why do we always get fights, all that great stuff. Stella would mainly talk about Tyler and the boy who she loves.
Our fathers started to get to work on finding our mothers when the phone rang, when my uncle James picked it up the man’s voice hung around the room.
“Hello?” asked James into the phone
“Hello, now about the deal. Are you handing Diamond, Skyler and Sage over for your wives? Or are you going to let your wives die?” hissed Kevin
“Ne- James was about to say
“Wait, guys come here” whispered my father at my uncles
James and Brandon walked over towards him and knelt down, “We can trap him, we can say we’re trading the girls in for Casey, Sara and Mary and once we see him we can arrest him”
James and Brandon nodded, “Alright let’s go with it” said James
James walked back over to the phone and sighed, “Alright, on one condition”
“And what’s that?” asked Kevin
“You come face to face with us and the only people with you are our wives”
“Deal, but you need to come alone too. With the three girls of course”
“Deal, meet us at a clearing in the Jay’s Forest in an hour”
“Where’s this clearing?”
“Do you know where Whisker’s Lake is?”
“Yeah”
“The clearing is right beside there, it’s the only clearing there so you should find it easily”
“Alright” and with that he hung up
My heart started to beat faster as thoughts of tricks and traps started to flood my mind. I just hope that no one gets hurt.
