How Long has It Been?

My brother

I walked from the hospital to a familiar scene towards our parents old house.

"Jamie." I said when he answered the phone.

"It's Katie."

"Yea, I came out today."

"Where are you living?"

"Still?"

"OK give me like five."

I hung up and continued in the direction of my childhood which was beginning to come back to me.

He was waiting on the front porch of the old house. I dropped my bags and ran towards my brother.

"Jamie." The tears flew from both our eyes.

"Katie, I'm so glad your OK."

"I'm fine Jamie and nothing is going to happen you will never have t be on your own again."

"Katie, I want to take you somewhere."

He grabbed my wrist and walked for three or four blocks. The scene looked all to familiar. We walked into the same cemetery I had just came out of and stood in font of the same grave I sat in front of when I spoke to Michael. Only this time there were names on the tomb. Jessica Ann Samms and Jason Alan Samms. R.I.P.

I stood with my brother seeing the exact sight my mind was trying to make me see for two years.
