Pet Shop Delights

Bored, bored, bored, bored

Caylie Angeletti chanted in her head, yawning and gazing sleepily at the pet shop. She was the animal caretaker of the Animal Kingdom that resided in Huntington Beach and most times the animals were asleep so no entertainment in that

“Cheer up Koala! Your shift ends in an hour, so you can just relax!” Leo chirped, a smile on his face

“But I’m BORED!” Caylie yelled, throwing her hands in the air and spinning around

“Feed the puppies, they wanna play. Gotta go! My shift’s over and you’re the only one left to guard the store. Bye! I’ve got a date with Amelia” Leo waved as he walked out to the street, not paying attention to the glaring girl

One of these days I’m gonna wring his little neck, and I don’t care if Amelia will shout at me for it

She venomously thought as she went out to the back to get the puppy food. She grabbed the bag and carefully stepped inside the pen and making sure she doesn’t squish any of the furry cuties

“Looks like it’s us again, all alone.” She sighed and filled the bowls with food, watching the dogs ravage it. She chuckled to herself and filled the water bowls before putting the bag back in the storage room. She watched outside as storm clouds grew and knew she was going to have to stay in the shop until the storm passes over

Good thing I came prepared with music!

Caylie thought cheerily as she surveyed the store, making sure all the animals’ food and water were full. She grabbed a couple of doggy chew toys and began juggling, making the puppies look at her every time she squeezed a toy too hard and made the squeaking noise. “Don’t look at me like that! You know I do this everyday” She huffed and continued juggling, humming a circus tune to herself.

The bell rang indicating that a customer entered and Caylie rushed to her post at the register. “Welcome to Animal Kingdom, how may I help you?” She said and looked up before her eyes popped. There standing right in front of her was Matt Sanders, aka M Shadows. Vocalist of the band Avenged Sevenfold. “Oh wow! You’re M Shadows!” She smiled as he nodded, giving her a smile. “Sorry to bother you by stopping by near closing time” He apologized as she smiled and shook her head. Even though she’s meeting on of her idols, she grew slightly sad that it’ll only be quick ad he’ll be out since a storm is forming

But what she did not expect, was the bang of the door, a clap of thunder, the laughter of a man and the squeal of another one

“Holy kissing kangaroos!” She shouted and threw all the toys up, watching them fall on the ground with a squeak. “Oh gosh, I’m so sorry!” The man said and started picking them up. “It’s okay!” Caylie assured and instantly recognized the man she was talking to. He was tall and thin. His long black bangs were slightly wet and his sapphire blue eyes held an apology. It was none other than Jimmy ‘The Rev’ Sullivan
“You’re The Rev!” She exclaimed as Jimmy pointed at her, “You’re Australian!” He shouted and Caylie’s face turned into one of annoyance. “No shit Sherlock” She grumbled and began picking up the toys

“Sorry about Jimmy, he’s just excited that it’s raining” Matt apologized as Caylie cracked a grin “No problem mate! Just make yourselves comfy with those beanbags. In the meantime I’ll go get some towels for you and your mates to dry off” Caylie smiled as she went to the back and extracted five towels, setting the kettle to boil so that they could have some hot cocoa. She went back to the front of the store and saw Zacky, Johnny and Brian slightly shivering while Jimmy was making weird faces to the fish. She placed the towels and the tray on a nearly table and pushed Jimmy so that his face smashed against the glass of the aquarium. “You’re scaring away my friends, they don’t like to be scared.” She gave a playful glare at Jimmy and turned to the others

“Here ya guys go! I’ve got some water boiling so I can make some hot cocoa! Can’t have any of you guys cold! Jimmy don’t scare the fish, I’ll set the parrots on you!” She said cheerily and handed a towel to each of them before skipping off to find Matt, throwing the towel at the unsuspecting singer and gaining a yelp. “Haha! Matt got scared from a towel!” She jeered and skipped to the back, where she began making hot cocoa for the band

Wow, I still can’t believe that Avenged Sevenfold is in here

She sighed dreamily as she stirred the chocolate and sugar, taking a sip and making sure it tastes right. When she deemed it was sweet enough, she took out a tray and loaded the mugs on before walking out. They made a makeshift seating area using pet beds and were chatting idly. “Oh my! Thank you!” Zacky exclaimed, taking a mug and sipping the hot drink. “Your welcome!” Caylie smiled as they took the drinks gratefully and let out a sigh when the warmth seeped through their whole body

“Uh.. I got the bone I was looking for!” Matt called out and Caylie sprang to her feet and sprinted to the cashier, grabbing Matt’s bone and scanning it. “That’ll be $12.50 Matty!” She smiled as he handed her the money and the singer pocketed the bone. “So... well a two things. One, I can say M Shadows was a customer at my work. Two, Jimmy’s quite a handful isn’t he?” Caylie laughed as Matt snickered. “You should’ve seen him in high school. Blond hair sticking up like Einstein and glasses.” Matt laughed as they both returned to the circle of friends.

Caylie was surprised to see Zacky and Brian cuddling and Johnny on Jimmy’s lap. “Oh! Lookie what we have here!” Caylie smiled and plopped down on the beanbag beside Matt, waggling her eyebrows. “It’s not what it looks like er..... fuck we don’t even know your name!” Johnny mused as they all looked at her. “Caylie Angeletti, Italian-Australian.” Caylie gave a small wave as they nodded. “So Caylie, it may look like that we are cuddling but we are merely sharing body heat” Jimmy said as Caylie rolled her eyes. “That’s absolute bullshit, I’ve got friends that used that excuse. You guys are gay and together, I’m not blind” She scoffed. “We are not together!” Johnny said and Jimmy shot him a hidden sad look that didn’t go unnoticed by the only female. “Jimmy just sent Johnny a sad look. Zacky, Brian, Jimmy and Johnny have promise rings. The way they look at each other and the scene I stumbled upon... Yeah sure! They’re not dating! Just sharing body heat in the form of a lapdance!” Caylie giggled as Matt let out a deep chuckle of his own, causing the four other bandmates to blush

“You’re sharp, I’ll give you that” Jimmy chuckled and was about to open his mouth to talk when a squawk interrupted him

“Attack! Attack!” A parrot squawked and the birds got loose from their cages, flying around the store

“No!!!” Caylie shrieked and jumped up, trying to grab a cockatoo. “Don’t just stand there!!! Help me you freaking morons!” She shouted at the band

They too leapt to their feet and rushed around trying to get a hold of the mischievous birds

“C’mere you fuckin stallion duck!” Jimmy bellowed and chased around a fast scuttling duck down an aisle while Johnny feebly jumped up to try to catch an African grey parrot. Brian and Zacky reached for the ceiling trying to coax a macaw off a lamp while Caylie wrestled a pigeon and quickly shoved it back to its cage. “How in the name of fuckin Slayer did they get out?!” Zacky wailed. “Ask the birds!” Jimmy shouted back as he tripped over his own feet and skidded on the floor, the duck jumping over his head and waddling down his back and dashing away

In a matter of... half an hour the six managed to corral all the birds back into their cages, collapsing on the beanbags. Johnny flopped on Jimmy, sighing and inhaling the scent of the drummer and nuzzling his nose to Jimmy’s neck. “Who the hell would’ve thought that getting birds back into their fucking cages would be hard” Brian wheezed, looking at Caylie sleepily. “Fuckin birds, stupid parrot’s intelligence!” Caylie grumbled as the guys chuckled

“Hey look! The storm stopped!” Zacky said and the sound of raindrops, the rumbling of thunder and flashes of lightning were completely gone. “Well you guys can go back to... whatever you were doing.” Caylie said with a slight tinge of sadness in her voice. The band looked at each other, all with the same thoughts. They couldn’t just leave and not give another thought about the girl, she’s been very hospitable and fun to be around. “Actually we were just going to go to our next concert which is in a few hours but we wanted to get there early, and we have an extra pass so... wanna come?” Matt offered as Caylie’s face broke into a joyful smile. She tackled Matt in a tight hug, making the 6’1 man struggle for breath. “Yes! Of course, I’d be crazy if I declined!” Caylie let go and jumped up and down. She hugged the muscled man again and planted a chaste kiss on his cheek

“Thank you Mattie! Just lemme get changed then we’re off!” Caylie smiled and skipped of to the staffroom. Matt smiled and turned to face his bandmates who were smiling. “You like her” Johnny pointed out as Matt shook his head. “I want to be friends first” He said as they nodded. “I’m back! Party train let’s move!” Caylie shouted and jumped on Matt’s back in a hug. “Hello tall and gorgeous! Can we go like now?” She asked and jumped off, bouncing with excitement. Caylie wore jeans short shorts, a rugby jersey, boots and an Avenged Sevenfold hoodie. “Wow you’re quick!” Zacky laughed, he jerked a thumb to Brian and smirked. “Princess over here takes hours to get ready” Zacky smiled as Brian glared. Zacky gave his lover a peck on the cheek and giggled. “Love you to BriBri!” He sang and cuddled against Brian’s arm

“C’mon, guys. Get in the car!” Matt chuckled as he walked out and unlocked the car. Caylie hooked arms with Jimmy and grinned up at him seeing as she’s shorter than Johnny. “We’re coming mother!” She bellowed as she and Jimmy frolicked to Matt’s silver Hummer. Zacky, Brian and Johnny guffawed, following the two in calm steps and climbed into the car

“Alright kiddies, strap in” Matt joked as he clicked his seatbelt on and reversed out of the parking lot and drove down the street. “I don’t think Jimmy and I outgrew the happy kid stage,” Caylie laughed from the passenger seat. Brian, Jimmy, Zacky and Johnny at the back and smirking at the two. “So............... will there be like fog and that pyrotechnic shit?” Caylie asked as Matt nodded. “Course, we give the best shows to our fans.” Matt said proudly. “I’ve always loved fire, even though it did singe off my friend’s eyebrows back in high school... and we made a bonfire go wild a few years back in Australia” She mused

Just then her phone rang, the song ‘God Hates Us ringing through the car. Caylie hastily searched her bag for it and answered the call

“Yeah?”

“Don’t worry, I’m safe. Listen, I’ll be out of the apartment for a while”

“Jess what the hell did you do to Aslan?!”

“Jessica he’s a fuckin cat remember!He’s supposed to be starved for attention!”

The men watched as the girl argued with her friend over the line, amused at her possessiveness over her cat

“Jesus Christ, that does not mean you can scream your fuckin head off just because he jumped on you and then fling him across the room! You are a disgrace to the entire Narnian kingdom for bringing such harm to the great Lion!”

“If I find that he injured himself, you’re paying the bills!”

See you later, and remember. For Narnia and for Aslan!”

When she looked at Matt the man was laughing hard, slapping the steering wheel. “For Narnia and for Aslan? What is that?” He gasped in between laughter. “Pfft, it’s a thing that Jess and I did since Narnia came out.” She glared at him as he continued with his laughter

The whole car ride consisted of the two couples in the car kissing, groping and cuddling, Matt yelling that he doesn’t want their cum on his seats and Caylie laughing her heart out

At the concert

“With this ink in my skin, we’ve sealed our fate!”

Matt screamed into the mic, the crowd singing with him. Caylie stood at the side with the techs, singing the lyrics. She had been introduced to the crew and made friends with the Berry brothers and the girls. She had learned how Gena had cheated on Zacky, how the girls were just a cover on their homosexuality, and how Matt and Val never went out.

“There’s a bed of skeletons waiting for me, on the other side!” Matt belted out, the crowd screaming. Caylie smiled, enjoying herself fully and letting the music carry her through her mind. She sighed at how wonderful her day had been. And it funnily started as Matt being a customer at the pet shop

She got so caught up in her mind that she didn’t notice the music quieten down and the ringing of the guitars were the only thing that can be heard apart from the crowds cheers

“Alright, calm down you fuckers. Now Syn here has an announcement to make, so better be quiet” Matt smiled and handed the mic to Brian. He moved his guitar to the side and walked over to Zacky, standing close to him. “Zachary Vengeance” He smiled. adoration in his eyes. “We’ve known each other for years, and we’ve faced through good and harsh times. And you’ve stood with me as my boyfriend for the past four years” And as soon as he said the word boyfriend the crowd gasped in delight. Brian got down to one knee and presented a black velvet box, showing the ring to Zacky. “Will you do me the honor of marrying me?” Brian’s voice cracking a little as Zacky gasped, tears streaking down his face. “Yes! Of course!” He sobbed, kissing Brian. Jimmy then got down from his drumkit and stood beside Johnny. “And I have my own announcement!” he spoke into the mic and the crowd silenced. “Jonathan Christ, I love you more than anything in the whole fucking world. And the perfect boyfriend in our six year relationship.” He got down on one knee and Caylie giggled slightly since the roles kind of changed since Johnny’s the slightly taller one and Jimmy has to look up. “Will you marry me?” A small velvet box in his hands. “I’d be crazy if I said no! I love you!” Johnny wrapped his arms around Jimmy’s neck, crying into his shoulder. Jimmy stood up, kissing the flat Mohawk. The crowd cheered at the newly engaged couples, Caylie standing at the side and clapping with the techs. “Long live the Haners and the Sullivans!” She cheered

Several months later

“Caylie! Can’t you just stay home?” Matt groaned, watching his girlfriend get ready to see Zacky and Johnny to discuss wedding plans. “Matty! I can’t. The wedding just HAS to be perfect!!” She yelled, applying a coat of lipgloss. The doorbell rang and Caylie sprinted off to open it. Revealing the smiling faces of Zacky, Brian, Jimmy and Johnny. “Right! You two keep Matt company, while us three go off on a fabulous wedding-planner voyage!” Caylie smiled as Brian and Jimmy entered the house. She walked out and linked arms with Zacky and Johnny. “Tally-ho!” She cheered and the three walked happily on planning the future.
