Lucy has always been unsure about herself. Her low self-esteem doesn't help either, and she is constantly questioning things and over thinking. So when she meets Malachai she doesn't believe she's good enough for him. Or even good enough to talk to him.

She starts to feel different the more she sees him though, and pretty soon her seemingly unrequited love surprises her with a dangerous secret that changes everything.
