Being Someone Different

Prologue

“You have always been a liar, Jazz! Now, that you’ve got some hormone raging, teenage boys to look at you, you think that you’re the shit…Well, newsflash, you aren’t shit!”

“Let me get this straight…You think that I think, I am ‘The Shit’. Last time I checked, you thought the damn world shined out of your ass. You cannot talk about anyone when you have been the biggest Bitch known to man. Maybe if you stopped kissing every guy who looks in your general direction, then your head wouldn’t be shoved this far up your ass.”

Mitchy stormed across the room and a slap echoed in the small quarters of Jazz’s bedroom. Jazz could taste the blood from the impact of her flesh to her teeth. She could feel the stinging pain slowly itching its way around her face. Slowly, she looked up at the enraged and pained eyes of what used to be her best friend.

“What happened to us?” Jazz asked quietly. Mitchy took a few steps back and shrugged. Then, she turned around, grabbed her skateboard, and walked out of the door.
