The Amore Wedding

Wedding for Angels

"Wait." She silently counted to three, before she let her voice wash over the small microphone once more. Her eyes on the room before her as she looked down on it all from one of the secluded balconies. "Enter the bride." The music flared, the notes swelling for the briefest of moments before the bride stepped through the shower of flowers that hung from the roof. The white roses hung amongst silver and white ribbons. The room turned to face the bride and Alora watched as emotions came to life on the guests faces.

The room was breath taking. Varying shades of Ivory fell across the room in soft waves. Hints of baby blue and silver lay hidden in places, breathing flares of something even more glamorous into the already beautiful space.

Candle light was the sole lighting used in the room. It cast a soft halo over every surface. It not only made the bride look angelic. It also made all of the guests look even more beautiful. As the soft enchanting light carefully hid any slight imperfections.

The room looked as if to be filled with angels. All of them a witness to an archangel wedding. The bride herself was breath taking. In a dress that showed her petite figure to its best advantage. She was a vision.

Her dress was a work of art. With its elegant neck line and beautiful bodice. The skirt was another piece in its own. It was her dress and she owned it. The smile -that lit up not only her lips but every aspect of her face was radiant.

Alora spared a glance to the groom and a smile full of such adoration and love lit alight his own handsome face. Alora felt a smile of her own creep across her lips as she felt tears shine in her eyes. This was why she did what she did. She had a love for love.

She breathed a sigh of relief as the Best Man stood proud by the grooms side. And she was surprised to find his eyes on her. Alora held his eyes for a moment before glancing to the brides maids. Stacey Grey stood the last in her row, her usually iron straight brown hair was done in soft curls. She looked incredible. Or she would if she wasn't shooting daggers at the bride. Sighing she flicked her eyes to Dorian once more, ignoring his prodding gaze before she focused on the room.

The entire room was left in awe at the vision she had created. Every aspect carefully planned, the detail extraordinary. There was a reason why everyone who was anyone wanted an Alora Wedding. Much to Alora's shock.

She breathed a soft sigh of relief as she looked at the magic that hummed in the air. There was something about weddings that was enchanting and magical. Something exclusive and utterly beautiful.

The wedding ceremony proceeded without a single hick up. Much to her delight, her team was a master at it by now. But still something could always go wrong on the day. Regardless of how many times they all rehearsed.

But it all went smoothly and flowed easily into the reception. The guests were again taken back by the reception. Alora watched like a proud parent as the guests gazes swept the room. The subtle points and stares. Delight evident in their faces as they looked at the fairy tale around them. There was no buffet, or BYO here. No the food was as delicious as it looked. As artfully done as the room that surrounded them. Nothing too rich or heavy, everything light and utterly mouth-watering.

Alora stayed in the background, making sure everything continued to run smoothly. But she couldn't help but come out of the shadows to watch the cut of the cake. The way the groom held his arms around his new wife -with a protectiveness and love Alora adored as they both cut the masterpiece of a cake together. Cameras snapped and flashes grew blinding but the couple copped effortlessly.

The happy couple were ecstatic and lost in each other as the night progressed. They played their part beautifully, and she couldn't help but again marvel at how good the two looked together. Mrs Latham with her beautiful red hair. Alora had always wanted red hair, such a natural but beautiful shade. And with Mrs Latham's delicate looks and skin she looked like a beautiful doll. Innocent. But Alora knew she was anything but, the little woman had a fiery personality. A personality that Alora had come to love.

Mr Latham was just as striking with his golden blonde hair and crystal blue eyes and handsome features he was as stunning as his wife. And his -at times over confident nature was held in tight check by Annie's - Mrs Latham's tiny hands.

The two made a beautiful pair. Their love adding something exclusive to that beauty. Something few found.

"And all of this wouldn't have been possible with out the genius Alora." Annie said making her speech later in the night. She paused to hold out her hands as Alora let an easy smile lace its way across her lips as she made her way to the bride for a hug she obviously wanted. "You have made this night so amazing, and I could never thank you enough."

She let the nearly in tears bride hug her. And she gave her a warm hug in return. She had grown fond of Annie, and she knew the fiery red head would keep in contact. Alora didn't like the spotlight though, she wasn't one to let herself become the centre of attention. But she made herself steal her spine and let a smile play on her lips.

She felt the eyes of the guests on her and it made her inwardly cringe. These people were vicious. And they wouldn't hesitate to pounce on the first sign of weakness. Alora took a deep breath and forced such thoughts aside.

Annie pulled back and took her glass of Champaign and rose it. "To Alora, the best wedding planner in the world." She said with a million watt smile, and tears in her eyes.

Alora gave Annie a smile and kissed her cheek before gracefully stepping back into the shadows once more.

She let her thoughts drift as she stepped out onto the deck for some fresh air. Resting her hands on the hand rail she looked out over the water.

Her clients all fit the glamorous description. Beautiful rich kids who’s parents could afford to splurge for their darling daughters and son's on their big day. Alora didn't mind, she got a hefty commission for putting together dreams. And her contact list was impressive to say the least. But she loved doing what she did. Even if there wasn't the massive price tag attached to it all. But she soon realised that to create the dreams she did one would need a deep pocket. She loved the stress, the work that went into it. Because it was worth it when she saw the smile on the brides and grooms faces. She adored every minute of it.

The cool early autumn air washed over her and she closed her eyes as she took a deep breath. The smell of the water washed over her as she gave a small smile to herself.

She was grounded, she knew not to let this go all to her head. And it didn't. She was cool and confident as she dealt with manhattans Elite. She was a girl who didn't mind getting her hands dirty, and she certainly didn't consider herself one of the golden girls. She hated the attention and it was only her love for her job that made her stay. She had built her mini empire from the ground up and she treasured it all. She knew how to work hard.

Opening her eyes as the sound of the door opening she turned to see who it was.

Dorian stepped out onto the deck and she immediately turned her back to him. Looking out at the water she felt her jaw clench.

Dorian let his eyes trail over her bare back, the way her pale skin shone in the moonlight that reflected off the lake. She was stunning. He let an easy smile play along his lips as he made his way to stand beside her. "Shouldn't you be keeping an eye on things?"

She waved her Ipad at him before she spoke. "I am." He watched the way her lips formed words, amazed at how she made talking look down right sexy. Her blonde hair was pilled up in an elegant bun, with a few carefully placed curls lying against the elegant curve of her neck.

"I ran into one of the HourGlass reporters." He watched as she tensed slightly, and he pause a moment before he spoke once more. "I thought you'd be giving them all the juicy details not hiding outside."

"I'm not hiding." She said as she clenched her jaw slightly again.

"Again Ally you lie."

Alora gave a frustrated sigh and turned, her eyes pinning him. "What do you want Dorian?"

"Many things darling." He let his eyes sweep down the entire length of her body, before he returned his eyes to those cool emeralds of hers. He found it intriguing that she was hiding from the reporters. Stacey had been chasing them all night wanting her photo placed in the next issue. She'd do anything to get in the HourGlass. And here was Alora hiding from them.

He watched as she steeled her spine and rolled her shoulders back. And how she winced ever so slightly at the action. Looks like these weddings weren't as easy as everyone made them out to be.

The sound of another guest joining them was the only warning Alora got of Stacey's presence.

She was in a brilliant silver gown that had thin traces of the palest of blues in places, the dress fitting in with the rest of the wedding perfectly. Stacey's blue eyes flicked from Dorian to Alora, and she caught a flash of something before it was gone.

"Alora I'm so glad I finally get to meet you!" She gushed and hurried forward for a hug. Dorian watched the exchange with an emotionless expression.

"Your too kind, how are you Stacey?" An easy well practiced smile slipping into place.

She stepped back and slid an arm up Dorian's chest as she kept a smile on those thin lips. "I'm great, how are you Alora? I have to say this wedding is incredible, like I've seen most of the earlier details. But they didn't do you justice, this is amazing." She gushed.

"Again your too kind. And I'm fine." She said with another effortless smile. "But if you'll excuse me I have to go and check on a few things. It was a pleasure to meet you at last Stacey and goodbye Dorian." She flicked her eyes to his for the briefest of moments before she turned and headed back in to check on the wedding.

Sorry for any confusion yesterday, I had to play around with it a bit.
