Lucky Now.

A kiss before I go.

Leah only stayed at school for two classes so by 10 she was able to leave. She couldn't help but hope Garrett was still at her house, but she was trying not to get her hopes up which seemed to be hard not to do.

She sighed as she turned on her street and a grin immediately hit her lips once she noticed Garrett's car still in her driveway.

She parked and walked into the house quickly as she tried to be quiet since she knew he was probably still asleep. She reached her room and the boy was laid out on his stomach the blanket tangled around his body and his mouth partly open.

She chuckled at the sight and gently climbed onto the bed after pulling off her shoes. The small movement made Garrett wake up and a grin hit his lips once his eyes focused on her.

"You don't know how happy you just made me." He mumbled as he threw his arm around her, pulling her closer to him.

She chuckled, "Yeah, only had two morning exams."

He kissed her neck a few times and cuddled her to him.

"More time with you. I'm not complaining. Surprised I haven't gotten summoned yet anyways."

She chuckled and he relaxed his head on her shoulder, his fingers running over side.

"Still tired?" She asked and he forced himself to speak, "Yeah, but I'm better. Kind of want to get up so I can spend time with you."

"You don't have to get up."

"I don't wanna sleep the time I have with you away." He mumbled.

"Well, get up and we can go get the guys and go to lunch. I miss them."

"You miss Pat."

The girl giggled and he raised up giving her a look, "Yep. I clearly am just the stand in."

"Yep. I settled for you." She joked grabbing the front of his shirt and he grinned, "Is that so?" He whispered their faces only inches apart now.

She nodded and he pressed his lips to hers.

"Get up so I can go see my man." She teased and he rolled his eyes, "Don't call him that."

"Jealous?" She asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Nope because you're mine." He said kissing her once more before climbing off the bed. She chuckled as she watched him pull on his jeans.

"I have a non-wrinkled shirt of yours in my closet."

He rolled his eyes pulling off the blue shirt he had on and throwing it into her laundry basket.

She whistled at him and he glared at her although a blush now lined his cheeks as he opened the closet door. She chuckled at the fact that the boy she met was still there no matter what.

She got up and walked over to the closet pointing to the shirt he couldn't find.

"Oh..."

She chuckled and wrapped her arms around his bare torso, placing a kiss on his shoulder blade. He shivered from the feeling as he held tightly onto the shirt.

"I love you, Garry." She said against his warm skin. He cleared his throat trying to shake the nerves she still gave him.

"I, I love you, more Leah." He fumbled out and she placed one more kiss on his back before dropping her arms from him. He forced his shirt on before he turned around and wrapped his arm around her.

"Ready now?" She asked and he shook his head no before pressing his lips to hers.

"Get your shoes on." She said and he grinned before kissing her again.

"La, La!" Pat screamed once his eyes landed on the girl walking over to their table. Leah began to laugh as Pat scooped her up and away from Garrett who just rolled his eyes and slid into the seat next to Kennedy.

Once Pat dropped the girl Jared stood up from the table, "Ah what the hell, I've missed you." He said hugging the girl causing Leah to laugh, "Awe, I knew you would."

He chuckled as he dropped his arms and took his seat.

"Fuck it." John said sliding his chair back and grabbing up Leah.

"I've missed you. I'll say it."

"I've missed you too John." Leah said into his shirt. She didn't realize how much she missed the guys until now. More than she assumed...

He kissed her head and she sat next to Garrett.

"Heyyy Leah." Kennedy said leaning over Garrett and she laughed, "Hey Kenny."

He smiled and Garrett chuckled, "Wow, you act like you guys haven't seen her in years."

"A week without Leah does feel like years." Pat stated causing Leah to laugh, "Thanks Pat. The feeling is mutual."

"So, tell us the gossip." Pat joked causing John to choke on his drink, "And you wonder why people question your sexuality."

Leah couldn't help but laugh as Pat glared evilly at John.

"Um, not much without you guys."

John grinned and ruffled up the girl's hair, "Not much without you Lee."

She smiled and hugged John from the side and the boy wrapped his arms around her. Truth be told he missed her more than he assumed he would just because she had been around them so much. She had become the sister he never had.

She on the other hand was simply happy to have them around even if it was probably only for the day. At least for a while things would feel normal. He kissed the top of her head before releasing her from his grasp.

Garrett shook his head with a grin as the waitress arrived to take their order. He was lucky to have friends that loved his girlfriend and vise versa. It meant a lot to him even if he didn't vocalize it.

"So when do you guys leave again?" Leah asked once the food arrived and she watched Pat shove a handful of fries into his mouth.

"Tomorrow I think." Kennedy offered a answer and Pat nodded in agreement with his mouth full causing the girl to laugh.

Garrett's blue eyes locked with hers, both able to tell they were relieved to at least have the rest of the day together.

"I was afraid we were going to be Garrett-less if we didn't come home soon." Kennedy said with a smirk and Garrett rolled his eyes, "Whatever." He grumbled and Leah raised an eyebrow.

"He, and I quote, was having severe Leah withdrawals." Kennedy answered using finger quotations.

"I was! You guys just don't understand! I went from spending days at a time with her to hardly a day."

"Well so did we!" Pat said throwing his hands up and Leah chuckled as Garrett rolled his eyes, "Not the same thing."

"How do you know?" Kennedy joked with a raised eyebrow and Garrett glared over at him, "Better not be." He threatened.

"Settle down Gar bear. He's joking!" Pat said throwing his hands up and Garrett shook his head before going back to his food.

The group ate and hung around longer than they should have and by the time they all went their seperate ways it was going on 1. Garrett grabbed the girl's hand on the way to the car.

"I've enjoyed today. I needed this." He said seriously and she gave him a smile, "Me too."

He pulled her closer to his side, "Best girlfriend I've ever had." He teased and she laughed, "Only girlfriend you've ever had."

"Ouchhh! Not true! I had a girlfriend...in like 9th grade...I think..."

She giggled and he rolled his eyes with a grin, "Don't make fun of me Miss I'm beautiful I can date anyone."

"I did not say that. In fact I can name my boyfriends on one hand and one being you."

"So? Doesn't mean you couldn't have more. I take what I can get!"

"Oh so you're settling for me?"

"No, no. I settled with my 9th grade girlfriend. I've been pining over you for years." He said with a smirk as he opened the car door for her.

She laughed as she got in and he quickly got into the car.

"So no. It's not settling when it's who you want."

"True, but you underestimate yourself. You could have whoever you want. Trust me."

He rolled his eyes, "If you really believe that, you love me too much."

"Just wait, when thousand of girls are after you, you'll see."

"That's what John is here for."

"Do you honestly think none of those teenage girls that already like your music like you?" She asked and he shugged as he stared at the road. He really didn't see why anyone would. Hell, he still didn't get why she did.

"You are in denial."

"Am not."

"Are so." She stated looking back out the window and he glanced at her for a second.

"Really doesn't matter what anyone else thinks, Leah. I only care what you think and if you like me then I'm good." He said seriously and he brushed his hair from his face.

"I'm just making a point here. Other girls like you."

A grin hit his lips, "Does that worry you or something?"

"Nope. One of your band members would beat you up for me I'm certain."

Garrett stifled a laugh, "Sadly I believe it's true."

She chuckled and he grabbed her hand once more, "Not that you are worrying but if you ever do, don't. You have nothing to worry about, Leah. You're the only girl in the world I want. I truly mean that."

"But what if Katy Perry is like, Oh hey Garrett, I like your hair. Wanna bang?" She teased just to get him worked up.

The boy started laughing immediately, "Well one, I can say confidently that will never happen and two, I honestly would have to say no."

"Liar. Even I wouldn't say no."

Garrett shot her a look and she giggled, "Kidding. I believe you I assume."

"As you should." He responded kissing the top of her hand as they pulled into her familiar driveway.

"Will your parents be here for graduation?" He randomly asked and she shrugged, "Gram said so, but I haven't talked to them in a week so I'm not holding my breath." She said without much thought to it before climbing from the car. He let out a sigh and quickly followed the girl to the porch. He hated that he was being like her parents. Unreliable. Not showing up when needed. He wrapped his arms around the girl as she unlockd the door.

"What is it?" She asked running her hand over his as she pushed opened the front door.

"Nothing. I Just love you." He whispered pressing his lips to her temple.

"I know this and I love you too."

He chuckled, "I know, I just, I hate how you have no one reliable in your life. Makes me feel like shit." He said honestly as he fell onto the couch. Her green eyes landed on his and she studied the boy for a moment.

"What are you talking about? You are reliable."

"Is that a joke? I haven't been here when I said."

She shrugged, "Yeah, but if something serious ever happened, I know you would be."

"Graduation is serious." He mumbled and she rolled her eyes as she sat in his lap.

"I mean, serious as in I was dying or hurt or something."

"Yeah no question I'd leave wherever I was." He responded honestly. He would fly across the world if anything ever happened to her. No doubt.

"I know."

"But so would your parents."

"You'd be suprised." She said with a stifled laugh.

He sighed and wrapped his arms around her, "Well I can promise I will be."

"Exactly."

He kissed her shoulder and held her to him, "At least I can keep you for another night."

"Pretty exciting huh?"

He chuckled, "It is. Do you have school in the morning?"

"Nope. Last exam was this morning. I'm a free woman!"

"Right, well, then graduation Friday, and what do you plan to do with the rest of your life Leah Adams?" He asked realizing he hadn't even questioned her future plans.

"Well, if you must know..." She mused as she placed her arms around his neck, "I am attending a univeristy called Arizona, heard of it?"

He laughed, "Yeah sounds a bit familiar. Why have we never discussed this? I'm a horrible boyfriend!"

"You are not! You just have a lot going on!"

He rolled his eyes, "So what? You have a lot going on too and I want to know about it."

"Well there isn't much else to tell. I start in the fall."

"What are you going there for? Wait. Can I guess?"

Leah laughed, "Sure."

"Something sweet like you..." He said brushing her hair behind her ear.

"Sweet like me?"

He smiled, "Yeah. Caring. Sweet. You know, things you are."

The girl giggled and he couldn't help but smile once more, "A doctor?"

She shook her head no and he twirled her hair around his finger, "Right, you'd be too emotionally involved. I could see that turning out bad."

"Mhm, what about a teacher?" He asked with a grin and she smiled, "Wow, am I that predictable?"

"No, it just suits you."

She kissed his cheek before laying her head against his chest, her arms wrapping around the boy's frame. She was going to miss this tomorrow so she had to take it in while she could.

"I'm really proud of you, Leah. I am. You're going to do amazing in college and one day you're going to be an amazing teacher." He said softly. His mind racing to the future for at least a few moments. He hoped he was still a part of hers when all that happened in her life.

"Right. I'll be a teacher, my boyfriend will be the rockstar."

He chuckled, "If we are still together after that long I better not just be your boyfriend."

"Keep that in mind, Nickelsen."

"Leah, You won't just be my girlfriend. Trust me." He whispered into her hair causing her to shiver from his tone.

"I love you too much. If I can keep you that long I want it to be legit."

"Well, if you want me that long then it will be." She whispered into his shirt and he closed his eyes, relaxing his chin on her head.

"Always, Leah. Always."
