Summer of Love

Secret Cuddles and Ghosts

After the concert, we made our way backstage with our passes. The guys were lounging back, still hyped up from their performance.

“Have you ever seen a turn out like that? There were so many people!” Travis exclaimed, his eyes bright with excitement.

I laughed and nudged him with my elbow. “Looks like our promotion did you good.”

He surprised me with a massive hug. “Yes, it did! Thank you so much!” He rubbed his baby smooth cheek against mine; I blushed with surprise.

Caroline smiled and turned to look at Red who sat back with his arms behind his head. He returned the smile and beckoned her over. Hips swaying, she stopped beside his chair and tilted her head, cocking an eyebrow.

She squealed with surprise when his arms came around her waist. He pulled her onto his lap.

“Say, beautiful...how about a date?” His voice was like pure honey and all charm. It seemed to work for she blushed as red as her hair.

Her lashes lowered and a smile graced her lips. “Why, I never thought you’d ask.”

His grin was genuine. “It’s a date then.”

Alexander rolled his eyes, pretending to be sick at the sight. Glancing at Tori, I could see her doing the same thing. She was never really a sucker for romance unless she was in an extremely girly mood; which I might add, wasn’t often if at all.

“We’re glad you made it.” I turned to see Travis smiling at me. It still surprised me that he was only an inch taller than I was.

I smiled and hugged him back. I was still flying high with the excitement of my first concert. It was exhilarating. All the flashing lights had gone to my head and I still felt like dancing.

“Oh my god, that was amazing!” I breathed, eyes wide like a child in a candy store. He chuckled and gave me a squeeze, leaving his arm around my waist. It struck me odd, his arm around my waist lightly, but I dismissed the thought. I smiled around at everyone.

Gage drank deeply from his bottle of water. “Man, I’m pooped!”

Caroline pealed with laughter. “Oh come on, the night’s still young!” Red chuckled and draped an arm about her shoulders.

“You are a woman after my own heart.” Cue that charming grin of his and I visibly saw her melt. She dazzled him with a smile. I could see great potential there for the two of them.

Travis bumped my hip lightly with his and I looked at him questioningly. “What do you say? Would you like to hang out with us tonight?”

I was tempted to say yes. I enjoyed spending time with these guys and I was interested in getting to know them better. They proved to be quality grade friends. However, I thought of Cian and how he would be getting off work soon. I should go meet up with him and walk home together. I weighed the pros and cons of each. In the end I decided that I saw Cian every day. These guys would be leaving since their concert was finished and would resume their tour across the country.

I smiled winningly. “Sure!”

He flashed his pearly white teeth and I couldn’t help but think of how cute he was. He was just so sweet! I loved his boyish character and his cute black rimmed glasses. I pinched his cheek lightly and he rolled his eyes.

“Here we go...” he teased with a crooked smile and I laughed, blushing with embarrassment.

“I’m sorry, I can’t help it! You’re just so...cute!” He laughed and shook his head. His arm remained around my waist, his side pressed against mine. Red raised an eyebrow and Gage narrowed his eyes. I didn’t notice.

“Man, I really just want to hit the sack,” Alexander said truthfully, ruffling his blond hair. Matted with sweat, it stuck out at odd angles all over his head and his eyes were tired.

Red sighed and looked to Caroline with a frown. “I hate to say it, but same goes for me.” He suddenly grinned deviously. “Wanna cuddle, pretty lady?”

Caroline blushed as red as her hair and fluttered her lashes. “Well, I don’t see why not. It is the weekend after all and I don’t work tomorrow.”

I looked at her in surprise. I hadn’t realized she could easily agree to something like that. She hadn’t even known Red for very long and she was already willing to jump in the sack with him! I shook my head. I wasn’t a person to judge. There was nothing wrong with it and I knew she would be careful. I sent her a wink. She grinned wickedly as she accepted his hand and allowed herself to be lead from the room.

Gage gave a tired yawn which passed around to Alexander. “Well, I’m heading to bed. Thanks for coming ladies.” He smiled and waved before leaving in the direction the others had. Alexander pulled Tori off to the side and murmured something to her before disappearing as well.

Tori turned and smiled. Her good side was showing finally. “Well, I’m off!” Without another word, she left leaving Travis and I.

I looked to him in surprise and shrugged. “I guess I should go too.” I yawned, suddenly feeling tired.

Travis gripped my waist protectively with a frown. “You want to leave?” His tone was filled with anxiety.

I looked at him carefully. “Well...everyone else went to bed. Aren’t you tired?” He shook his head and I blinked, surprised. “Well, what do you want to do?”

He smiled shyly and ducked his head, his hair falling over his glasses. “Would you like to watch some movies with me?”

I looked around with a frown. I had no idea where we were going to watch movies in this space. He saw my confusion and chuckled, his cheeks filling with a rosy hue.

“Would it be uncomfortable for you if we watched them in my hotel room?” His voice was so quiet, I almost didn’t hear him.

I didn’t think anything of it and smiled. “Sure, there’s no problem.” He blinded me with a smile and the entire room seemed to brighten. There was something about him that when he walked into a room, it lit up.

He slid his arm from around my waist and grabbed my hand instead. I allowed him to lead me to his hotel room. He pulled out the white card and slid it in the metal slot to unlock the door. We stepped inside and removed our shoes. I looked around, surprised at how luxuriously his room was. The walls were painted a delicious chocolate brown and a large comfortable looking bed sat in the center, the top pressed against the wall. On either side were two nightstands with matching lamps. At the end of the bed sat a beautiful stone fireplace, a warm fire crackling. Above on the wall rested a large flat screen TV. All in all, the room was amazing. It was nice and toasty warm. I smiled and danced over to the bed, throwing myself on it and giggling. I loved soft, sink into the mattress type beds. It was like lying on a cloud.

Travis chuckled and took his time putting things away. When he finished, he walked over and sat beside me, propping up a pillow behind him. He flipped on the TV and proceeded to search through the movies.

“What would you like to watch?” He looked at me with a smile.

I leaned back with a sigh, bringing my knees to my chest. I looked at my options and grinned when I spotted one that caught my eye.

“How about Paranormal Activity? I haven’t seen it yet.” I glanced at him with a smile.

He smiled and said nothing as he put it on that channel just as the movie was starting. The opening credits started and I settled myself in, brimming with excitement. I love anything paranormal. That reminded me when I got home to check for new episodes of Ghost Adventures. The movie started and I was captured with nothing but the movie. As time passed the good parts started coming around, I wasn’t even aware that Travis had slid an arm around me or that my head was on his chest. I was so enthralled with the movie I had no idea. I gave startled jumps at certain parts and covered my mouth to hold in the screams of surprise. God, this movie was good!

Travis chuckled every time I jumped or gasped. He obviously was enjoying my intense interest in the movie. When the movie ended and the credits began to roll, the room fell silent. I was still processing the last scene of the movie and my heart was racing. Wow. As I slowly calmed down and reality set in, I realized my position. Blinking in surprise, I looked at the spot my head had been resting on and looked up at Travis. He smiled down at me. My face flooded with heat and I reacted instantly. I pulled away, jerking upright with embarrassment. What am I doing?

Oh, boy....

I know I haven't updated in a few days and I'm sorry! Spontaneous updates, remember?
Anyway, I don't really know what I'm doing with this story anymore lol. I think I might have to end it soon because I'm slowly starting to lose interest and writer's block is beginning to creep in the brain.

Comment please : Cian, Gage or Travis? There are three options now and I'll admit, I'm swaying toward Travis.
***Please keep in mind there might be a sequel so pick one of the guys, but be careful because it just might change in the sequel!***
