My Heroine.

Once the bus stopped somewhere along the highway everyone finally had a chance to get out & stretch. Garrett & I both hopped up off the couch & raced towards the front of the bus to get off first. Instinctively i grabbed Garrett up & threw him over my shoulder, he instantly tensed up but, of course i kept walking off the bus. once we got a ways off i set him down, "What's the matter, Gare Bear? I just carried you off the bus," i laughed.

"Oh, uh, nothing. Just kind of caught me off guard, i guess," he mumbled, pulling his hand through his hair, dodging my gazer & looking at the ground, shuffling his feet. He was wearing dark washed skinny jeans with the ends folded up & a white Smiths shirt. Wow.. he looked really nice in that shirt. It complemented his arms nicely.. Wait. What?

Trying to forget about how i totally just checked out my best friend, "So, uh, where do you wanna eat? There's a Chick-Fil-A, a Wendy's, oh the finest McDonald's!" I said with a smirk & playfully nudging him with my elbow.

"Well, there is a subway over there. We could share a footlong or something because, I'm not all that hungry," he said, cheerfully, his gorgeous blue eyes perking up at me.

"Anything for you, my love," i said as i bowed down, & motioned him towards Subway, "but, you can always munch on my footlong," i said huskily shooting him a wink with a smirk playing on my lips.

Garrett immediately froze up & rigidly turned towards me, "Wha- What?"

Realizing that i totally just hit on my best friend i start laughing awkwardly, & slowly, "What Garrett? i didn't say anything, weren't we just in our way to get some subs?" i said sarcastically while winking at him. I started to laugh again & kept walking towards the Subway. What the fuck did i just do? He could munch on my footlong?! Dear God, what am i trying to do? i don't want him to think I'm gay & coming onto him, that'd be weird. We're best friends. He should know i was just joking around. Well, i would hope so. But, why wouldn't he? Why am i over thinking this so much? ugh. Whatever.

"Wait, John, wait for me!" he said from where he was still standing. He started jogging towards me so i stopped & waited for him. Once he reached me, i laughed & grabbed his hand. Swinging it back & forth, humming Dear Maria, Count Me In. He tensed up but, then just squeezed my hand & started humming along with me. I glanced over at him, taking him all in, he gorgeous, awkward smile showing every tooth. HIs brown almost red hair being perfectly styled to where it was messy but, not at the same time. His piercing blue eyes. HIs broad shoulders & skinny frame. He was perfect, really.

Garrett glances over at me to catch me staring at him, "What're you looking at, O'Callaghan?" he smirked.

"Oh, nothing, you know, just your perfection," i smiled.

"I wouldn't be talking, mister," he smirked at me.

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"It means you're the singer of a band with a huge fan base of a bunch of teenage girls just fangirling over how beautiful you are everyday," he said bluntly.

"Are you one of those fangirls, Gare?" i say, winking at him.

"Oh, yeah you know it," He said, smiling that perfect smile at me.

"Well, I'm most definitely one of your fangirls, i mean, look at you. You're hot, boy," i said looking him up & down, biting my bottom lip. "I'd tape you any day,"

"You better be serious, or ill pee on everyone you love," He said stopping straight in his tracks. realizing what he just said his hand went straight to his mouth covering it up as his eyes went extremely wide. I just stood there, not quite sure how to react.

"Well, hey, you never know," i said winking at him, & kissing his cheek, then walking into Subway, with him still standing outside, still in shock.
