Days in the Desert
Chapter 28
"god dammit!" I yelled grabbing my gun and sitting Sigh down at the table.
"mom. you cussed." She said shaking
"i'm sorry honey, i'm just upset." I said grabbing a chair and sitting in front of her
"is he going to be OK?" Sigh asked still trembling.
"yes, he will be, all of the guys are going to find him." I smiled, motioning for her to sit on my lap "and so will you, i won't let anything happen to you guys" I smiled. looking out the door at the approaching sunset.
"mom. i'm scared" Sigh said cuddling up to me
"i know baby, i know" I said soothing her
"There!" Saint yelled pointing at a lump in the sand. They all piled out
"it's a rock" Ghoul said disappointed
"sorry" Saint said getting back in to the car.
"it's ok, we are all a little jumpy" Party said taking a deep breath and walking towards the car. He abruptly stopped and turned, gun up.
"Shit" He said rushing towards the brush
"Let me go.." The guys heard as they got closer
"stop moving" A mans voice said. then a howl of pain. Party reached them first shooting the BLI agent. Then he looked at the bleeding woman.
"he.. help me" She said passing out
"ok, Jet, Kobra take her back to the car. Party said clearing through the brush
"Party" He heard further back, a little voice, tired and weak sounding
"Twisted?" Party said rushing through the brush, finding Twisted laying on the ground, exhausted, and tired.
"i'm so sorry" He said starting to cry
"it's ok" Party said picking him up and taking him out of the brush
"got him" Party said getting out of the brush and going to the car
"she's hurt. let's take her back" Jet said carefully getting in. both the woman and Twisted were laying in the car. making it difficult to drive. They got to the house and rushed them in. Just in time to see headlights heading towards the house.
"put them in the twins's room." Party said helping the guys get everyone in
"who's.." Scat started
"we will talk about it later" Party said
"Sigh, in the room, if anyone in white get's in, shoot them with this.... i know you don't know how to use it, but you just need to hold it towards them and pull back on the trigger, alright?" Jet said ushering her in to the room
"ok, i've got it" She said getting nervous.
"let's go to war" Ghoul said putting on imaginary war paint and grabbing his gun
"it's been a while" Saint said opening fire.
