She is the princess of the noble kingdom of Delnar, held up to prestige and honour by those people that she represents.

He is the son of a poor family, whose father died in the Great War between Delnar and Iriee.

When she is sent off to marry the Prince of Iriee as a means to establish peace, he comes along as her knight and guardian. When all is not as it seems, it is up to him to protect his princess and love from all that might try to harm her as both guard their feelings to stop the other from falling into ruin.
