Times Are Changing

Drama mama.

"Hello?" I ask, once David opened the door and stood there.

"What the hell, David?" The girl snarled, I glanced at David then back to her.

"What do you want?" David sighed, not even looking at me.

"I want my stuff," she snootily replied. Wait a minute, Chelsea?

"Your stuff is at your house," he spat before slamming the door in her face.

"What was that about?" I place my hands on my hips. The door reopened and she shoved him, I stepped back and stared bewildered.

"You cannot do this!" she screamed, when she noticed me.
"Monique? Ugh, why? Do you not know what is going on?"

"John isn't here, Chelsea," I inform, rolling my eyes.
"I'm sure Gaby wouldn't want to know you're here looking for him."

"Me? Look for John?" she scoffed, then glanced at David.
"Wow, Dave, when I didn't think you could stoop any lower."

"What do you mean?" I quietly ask.

"You haven't changed, Monique, you seriously have not." What a bitch.

"I can tell you haven't neither, it's been what? Like two years? Three? and you're still a bitch," I retort, narrowing my eyes.

"Always will be too," she sneered. Did she seriously take that as a compliment?
"You do know that David has been fucking me, right?"

"Chelsea, get the fuck out of here," David ordered.
"I will never fuck you, and that's why you get so mad."

"Ha, then explain to me why I'm pregnant!" she screamed.

"Bullshit," he laughed. "You got knocked up by some guy, tryin' to blame me."

"If he didn't fuck you in highschool, he sure as hell would not fuck you now," I mused.

"Says the one who didn't even know he has a fling with me," she replies, glaring at me. "Or do you know and you're just looking dumb with that fake shocked expression?" she snorts then glances back at David. "I am here to tell you that you are making a mistake, David. A big mistake."

"And I am standing here, telling you to get the fuck off my property," he hisses.

"This is your parents property, remember? You are moving," she snarls.
I narrow my eyes, and glance at him.

"You told her?" I sigh.

"I never said shit to her," he assures then let out a deep breath.
"Gaby probably did."

"Gaby doesn't even like her!" I scream, tired of his lies.

"What?" Chelsea shrieks with laughter.
"Gaby and I are like best friends, where have you been?"

"Huh?" I felt that stab in my heart.

"Oh wait, that's right, knocked up with a guys' baby that doesn't even love you." Ouch.

"If you wake my son," I calmly say, staring at her.
"And he comes down here upset." she shifted her eyes to mine.
"If anything happens to my son," I tense up.
"I will kill you, in a heart beat, and you will never be found."

"Is that a threat?!" she squeals shocked.

"I suppose if you take it that way," I nonchalantly reply with a shrug.
"Your bullshit drama with David is your drama, my son will not be brought into it."

"And you will kill me?" she snorts.

"I personally wont," I grin. "I have a son to be here for, remember?"

"Oh hell no," she takes a step forward. I could see the instant reminder of highschool and who I knew back then, and still know to this day. It only takes one phone call.

"I suggest you think about these next actions, wisely," David cuts in.

"Or what?" she challenges.

"Or I wont hold it against myself to lift your ass up and toss you, hard, on the curb," he threatened. I felt a shiver run down my spine after he said that. I glance at David with a slight smile, until I remembered that I am angry with him.

"Fine, just know David, I love you," she explains. "I am not ashamed to admit that, and I think it sucks that you decided this route. You are making a big mistake, big, big, mistake."

"And you look pathetic," he shrugs again. When she was going to say something else, he shoved her back, slammed the door and locked it this time. Immediately I glared at him, when he turned to say something.

"I don't want to hear it," I put a hand up, fighting back the urge to hit him.
"You were seeing Chelsea the whole time?"

"Monique," he whispers.

"No, I am so done," I started up the stairs.

"Please," he begged, following me.
"Please don't. Please."

"Stop," I turn, tears in my eyes.
"Why didn't you just tell me?"

"Because I know how much you despise her," he explains.

"And? You were messing with her, after I left, I wasn't even around! Sure, I will be disgusted, but still, ouch, to lie?" I felt my thoughts become jumbled, and unorganized. "Her? I mean, to lie. Not Gaby, me? What?"

"Monique," he pulled me into his arms. I tried to shove away, I started to smack his chest and shove, but it wasn't of use.

"Let me go!" I demand, he pulled me into the room and shut the door.

"Don't wake Dominic," he hushed. Finally he released me and I stood a good distance away.

"I wont lie, I would have still be a bit upset to know you got with Chelsea, but I mean..." I stopped talking in fear of crying.

"I am sorry," he apologized. I am not used to David apologizing so much.

"It was such an elaborate story, I swear it's like you believed yourself," I sniffle. I don't even think this is truly about David, sure he lied but honestly I would not give Chelsea the satisfaction of breaking us up. I think my anger is more about Gabrielle, how she could befriend that bitch and not even tell me. To tell Chelsea about me moving, so that Chelsea would come here. I grabbed my phone and dialed her number.

"Hello? Are you okay? You never call this late," Gaby immediately asks.

"Did you hear?" I question.

"About?" she dumbly responds.

"Chelsea," I quietly reply. She was silent.

"Oh, ugh, what happened?" That was it.

"Rip up your invitation to my house warming party," I calmly demand.

"You aren't moving anymore?" she inquires.

"Oh, no I am. You just aren't invited anymore," I say before hanging up.

"Damn," David whispers. I throw my phone and glare at David.

"Don't talk to me for the rest of the night," I quietly order.
"Trust is so hard right now, David. So hard."

"I am-" he started but I put my hand up, and shook my head.

"If this," I gestured to us, "is going to work. We have to have trust."

A simple nod was all I wanted from him, and with that the mood for sex was gone. I slipped my pants off, tossed my shirt over my head and grabbed some pajamas. David didn't bother watching me undress, instead he stripped into boxers and we laid down. Falling asleep together.

...

The next day, I awoke to being in David's arms. All the anger of last night just wasn't worth it this morning. I am having his second child, and we have a little family now. Today is the moving day, and nothing is going to ruin this.

"Good morning," he whispered, kissing my forehead. I leaned over and kissed his lips.

"Good morning," I reply with a smile.
"New house, new opportunities."

"New house, new opportunities," he repeats for good measure. We shower, pack everything, and got ready to move in. We stood outside, as Dominic played around the house and screamed at really nothing.

"Before we go in there," I start, gaining David's attention.
"Anything else I should know?"

"Like what?" he replies.

"Is Kiley still in the picture?" I question.

"No."

"Did you ever have sex with Chelsea?"

"No. Oral, yes."

"Eww... Have you decided your career?"

"Yes."

"And?"

"I am going to be a manager instead."

"Huh?"

"Good money, private life, and nothing crazy."

"So, you aren't going to be famous?"

"Oh, I will be famous in a way."

"As long as you are happy," I breathed out. I didn't want David to not follow his dreams.

"Trust me, I am," he assures, wrapping an arm around me and we kiss.
"I love you."

"I love you too."
