Times Are Changing

Name discussions.

When we joined David inside, there was a ton of people gathered around with champagne glasses. I quirked a brow, as David held a hand out for me to join him, and so I did.

"I want to thank everyone for coming here today, it means a lot. Thank you. The lovely decors, and my happiness is all thanks to this lovely lady here beside me, miss Monique Jensen. The love of my life, and the mother of my children. I want to take this time to announce, that this is indeed our lovely home, but not just that. However, I am having my second child with my future wife," David announced. "Because for one day, I will marry this lovely woman."

"Yeah!" People cheered, and I felt my cheeks turn red. My parents stared at me in awe, my mom had happy tears in her eyes and my father looked rather disappointed. I smiled at everyone then glanced at David.

"Please enjoy the food, and good company, thank you for coming again," David ended it. They all toasted and soon went their seperate ways. I let out a deep breath and found Dominic, giving him a hug.

"So, you are having baby number two?" My father inquired, both sets of parents here.

"Yep," I slouch forward.
"I didn't want him to announce that tonight."

"Why didn't you tell us?" My mom sighed.

"I didn't want to yet," I whisper.

"You already have one," his mom reminded.

"Yeah, imagine saying oh yeah by the way, I know we have Dominic but we're having a second child," I sarcastically explained. "It was scary, and David ruined it."

"It seems like neither of you do things right," they teased. I rolled my eyes and smiled at David.

"Maybe that's why we're so good for each other," I shrug. My father snorted.

...

The rest of the night was uneventful, everyone commented on the lovely home, and soon everyone left. Workers cleaned up, and it was as though no one even came tonight. By the end of the night, David and I were sitting at the edge of our pool with our feet in it. Dominic in bed and the baby monitor right next to us.

"Tonight was nice," David commented.

"Yeah," I whisper.

"What's wrong?" he asks.

"I wish you would've told me that we were announcing things tonight," I sigh.

"Things?" he snorts. "You mean our soon to be baby?"

"Yeah, exactly that," I hiss.
"Why didn't you tell me?"

"I knew you'd say no," he honestly answers.

"So, you did it anyway? Wow, David," I shake my head.
"What? Was it for publicity? Huh?"

"No," he growls.

"Then tell me, why wouldn't you have just asked me, or something?" I was about to stand when my foot caught onto the dress and I fell in. I took that as a sign that my argument was invalid and dumb, so when I surfaced I laughed. David just stared at me with his brows raised.

"You are a weird one," he comments. "But, I love you."

"I love you too," I swim to him and got between his legs as he sat against the edge.

"Aye, you're gonna get me all wet," he complains. I bit my bottom lip and held myself up, pecked his lips then latched onto him and drug him in.

"Ha!" I laugh after he surfaced and splashed me.

"Damn it," he cursed and glared.
"This was expensive."

"Oh quiet," I swat at him. A smile slowly appeared on his face as he came over and wrapped his arms around me.

"I am sorry for not consulting you about tonight," he apologized, kissing my neck.

"I know," I tease.

"Pssh," he lightly pushed me. I laugh and pressed my lips against his, wrapping my arms around his waist.

"So, what were you and John talking about?" He was totally jealous.

"Gabrielle," I answer.

"Oh, what about her?" he quirked a brow.

"How she wasn't invited anymore," I explain with a shrug.
"You know he's seeing her, and wants us to be friends."

"Mhmm," he shrugs.

"Why were you so jealous?" I ask.

"I was not," he lies.

"Stop, David. You jerked me away," I remind and he chuckles.

"Okay, I saw you smiling at him and laughing, it did make me jealous," he admits.
"Because I wasn't the one making you smile and laughing."

"You make me smile and laugh all day, every day, he did that just tonight. Trust me, you do enough," I explain kissing him. "I love you, no one else. No need to be jealous, ever."

"Damn straight," he chuckled. I roll my eyes and rest my head against his chest.

We got out of the pool eventually and made out way to our room. Changing and then cuddled together, his hand carressed my bare shoulder, as my hand rested on his chest. I smiled up at him then bit my bottom lip.

"What do you think we should name this one?" I ask, and he smiled.

"I don't know," he chuckled.

"What are you hoping for?" I continued and he giddily looked up at the ceiling.

"I want a girl," he answers, catching my breath. I felt a jolt go through me and I felt so amazing. The love was ridiculous.

"Oh?" I smile, biting my bottom lip.
"Why is that?"

"I want a daddy's girl," he shook his head with a smile.
"Though that means I would have to fight off guys."

"Wow, David," I squeak.

"Well, if she gets your looks, then I'm screwed," he kissed my cheek.

"If she gets your popularity, you mean," I corrected and he snorted.

"All of us combined, we're screwed," he chuckles.
"Dominic is going to be popular."

"I know," I sigh.
"I saw how the other kids fawned over him."

"Yep," David grins.
"Maybe he'll be a big sports star."

"Oh shush," I roll my eyes.
"Don't make him hate you."

"He could never," he breaths out.
"Maveen."

"Hmm?" I ask, shifting my attention to him.

"I want her name to be Maveen," he repeats.

"Maveen?" I furrow my brows.

"Monique, David, it was as close as I could thing," he chuckles.

"Maveen," I repeat, then shrug.
"And if it's a boy?"

"Mason?" he shrugs.

"Why Mason?" I narrow my eyes.

"Starts with a M, has an A, and it's five letters like my name," he chuckles.

"Wow, David, you think way too much about this," I tease.

"Eh," he wrapped his arms around me tightly.
"I am just excited to be having more kids with you."

"You aren't scared?" I gulp.

"I am, but I already know you're an amazing mother, the love of my life, and my world. To share you with our offspring is surreal, my dream, since we've been in Highschool," he explains. I was taken back by the last comment.

"Since we were in Highschool?" I question.

"Yep," he shrugs.
"Just leave it at that."

"But," I sharply exhale.
"Okay."

"I love you," he kissed me.

"I love you too," I kiss back.
