PACEY’S PERSPECTIVE

Pacey stood near the door, waiting for Drew to finish getting ready. They were both so excited. After being together for three months, they hadn’t even had a first date. As nervous as Pacey was, he still worked up the courage to ask her. When she said yes, he could finally think clearly again.

It’s not that he was nervous around Drew, although he sometimes was. It was just that he was absolutely infatuated with her. Her courage, her spontaneity, Drew really had it all. He loved the way her smooth skin felt under his fingertips, the way she smiled when he said something stupid, how different she was from every other girl he’d ever met. But what Pacey loved the most about Drew was she made him feel important, like he was needed. She was the most caring young woman he’d ever met, and he was determined to hold onto her.

Drew strutted out into the hallway, self-consciously covering her blue dress. Her white shoes clacked loudly as she walked, mostly because she wasn’t used to wearing heels, even if they were short. Her hair was getting a little longer, just past her ears. It was brushed into short, seductive curls. When she looked at Pacey, he melted inside. She looked classic, simple, and absolutely beautiful. So when Drew stood there, gazing at Pacey, he couldn’t help but smile. He didn’t know why, but he was just so in awe of the goddess in front of him.

He took in the small curves of her body, her waist slightly covered by a thin, white belt. Her thin legs were exposed, and Pacey couldn’t help but stare at her.

“You look beautiful, Drew,” he said after a couple of moments. She smiled at him lightly and took his hand in hers after he gave her his jacket to wear. And off they went, hand in hand, smiling from ear to ear, embracing the cool midwinter evening.

11:23 PM

Pacey sat criss cross on Drew’s bed, waiting for her to finish getting out of her dress. Their date had gone very successfully. Even the food that took an hour and a half to get was delicious. Whenever Drew laughed, Pacey couldn’t help but crack a smile and join in. Her laugh was so contagious. It was during those moments where he was sure she was the one.

When they had gotten home, Pacey went to change while Drew called Rose and told her about their date. But now they were in Drew’s room. She had made Pacey sit on her bed and close his eyes as she took off her dress. Of course, Pacey didn’t really listen, and he took a couple of peeks. But he was very sly, moving his fingers apart and narrowing his eyes. He respected her, but he was a teenage boy, and he really couldn’t help himself. After all, he loved Drew. She was the most gorgeous girl in the world to him.

When Drew was completely changed into baggy gray sweatpants and an old Transformers tee, she walked to Pacey and sat next to him on the wrinkled comforter of the bed. Even though her makeup was smudged and her hair was a mess of frizz and small tangled curls, she still was adorable. Pacey couldn't help but smile and plant a couple of sweet kisses on her cheeks, forehead, and nose.

"What was that for?" Drew asked him curiously. He wanted to say that he couldn't keep his hands, or lips for that matter, off of her. But he knew that would just be stupid, so he simply smirked and kissed her lips softly. He lingered for a little while, waiting to see how she would respond. When Drew didn't kiss him back, Pacey pulled away and gave her a confused look, raising his eyebrows and pulling his mouth into a sort of frown.

"Is everything okay?" He asked. Drew didn't look at him. Pacey was worried, very worried, actually. He trusted Drew, but she looked so guilty. He honestly didn't know what to expect.

Drew balled her fists and lightly fidgeted on the bed so it creaked noisily. "I just feel like I was talking so much tonight that you didn't even get a chance to speak," she said.

Pacey let out a deep breath and easily pulled Drew onto his lap. He wrapped his arms around her waist as to prevent her from falling off the edge of the bed. She straightened her legs out so that each one was on either side of him and then bent her knees.

"Drew," he whispered sweetly, grabbing her attention. "I like listening to you. There's not a single boring thing about you."

Drew smiled weakly. "But I feel like I barely know anything about you. The only thing I know is that you have a brother I don't even know the name of," she said, gazing in his eyes. "I tell you so much about my life that I never even give you a chance to speak."

"Well, how about we change that?" He smiled, waiting for Drew's approval. "My brother's name is Reed. He's six years older than me and joined the marines when I was twelve. I only see him about once a year."

When Drew didn't say anything, he continued. "My parents divorced when I turned fourteen, and my mom and I moved from California to Wyoming. As a way to cheer me up, we got a dog and named him Old Browne. We just call him Brown for short. For a long period, Brown was my best friend. He kept me sane up until my mom told me I needed to do something with my life. So she sent me here. It sounds kind of stupid that a dog was my best friend, but he's the greatest. He's probably who I miss the most. Anyway, I didn't think I would like it here, especially because guys and girls are separated. But when I met you... well, I just didn't know what to do. You were so unlike anyone I had ever met. I just had to have you," he finished. Pacey didn't continue. He had never really opened up to someone, so he felt extremely uncomfortable, even if it was Drew.

Drew smiled widely, her cheeks brightening and her eyes becoming slightly wrinkled. Pacey loved when she smiled because it made him happy too.

She scooted closer to him so their torsos were touching and she was sitting at the very tip of his thighs. Pacey breathed in a tight wisp of air. He was just, in no other words to put it, extremely turned on. He wanted Drew more than anything at this moment. He wanted to feel her bare skin against his, to kiss her delectable, tangible skin everywhere. But he knew she wouldn't allow it. He was going to try, though.

Drew smiled at him sexily, more of a smirk, actually. It was almost as if she knew exactly what he was thinking. "Thank you," she whispered. Although Pacey didn't necessarily understand what she meant, he assumed she was thanking him for telling her about his life. He simply smiled and leaned in to kiss her tantalizing, soft pink lips.

Drew leaned in and connected their lips. At first Pacey kept his hands where they originally were, on her waist. But as the kiss deepened into a sloppy, fast paced rhythm, he moved his hands up and down her sides, just skimming the bottom of her bra and the tops of her hips. She seemed to enjoy this, so he continued, deepening his touch and rubbing his thumbs into her sides as if he were giving her a massage. Drew fumbled around a bit, and accidentally let out a high pitched squeal. Pacey found this extremely alluring, so much that he could barely control himself.

At this time, Pacey stopped his hands and rested them on the hem of her shirt, right above her small hips. He maneuvered his long, bony fingers under the thin fabric. He knew that his touch against Drew's bare skin drove her crazy, so he continued. Finally, he grabbed hold of the flimsy fabric and pulled it upwards to signal he wanted it off of her. Normally Drew would stop him, but she didn't.

By the time Pacey had taken off Drew's shirt, they were both lying on her bed, rustling around and switching positions sporadically. Pacey had never acted this way, not even with his past girlfriends. But tonight was different. He felt like he had no control over what was happening.

At this point, they were panting and sweating. Pacey finally found a comfortable position with him on top. He kissed Drew sweetly before trailing his hot, red lips over her chin, past her jawline, and around her neck. He could feel Drew shiver, goosebumps traveling up her arms. He kissed her soft spot multiple times, letting her know that he wasn't going to hurt her.

Pacey continued, moving his lips over her barely exposed chest. He bit down on one of the straps and tried to slide it down her arm. But he heard Drew take a deep breath. He didn't know what that meant, so he forced himself to stop in case something was going on. Pacey looked at Drew with lust in his eyes. He couldn't help it. But he knew he was being selfish, so he attempted to clear his head before gazing at her again.

"Are you okay?" He asked. He got off of her and pulled her onto his lap again so she was facing him.

"Yeah, I'm fine. But I just can't go this far with you right now, Pacey. I'm sorry," she said weakly. Pacey instantly felt a pang of guilt cover his entire body. He had been the one who had forced everything. What if she was just going along with it to please him?

"No, Drew, don't apologize. I'm sorry. I should have asked you first," he said meaningfully. Drew smiled at him and kissed his tender lips gently. "Does that mean I'm forgiven?" he asked. Drew stopped and nodded. Pacey stared at her for a while, somehow completely lost in thought. "So," he started. "What do you want to do then?"

Drew smiled deviously. She laid down on the bed, her body turned around so she couldn't see him. Pacey took this as a sign to lay down next to her. He pulled the covers over them and wrapped his arm around Drew. He felt her back on his chest, her legs tangled with his, her hips against his thighs. He moved his hand over her warm, bare stomach. He couldn't explain how amazing it felt to be with her.

Seeing Drew like this reminded him of his first girlfriend. Her name was Lindy and she was obsessed with cuddling every night. They didn't live together, obviously. But at a certain point in Pacey's life, his mom didn't care if he was gone at night. As long as he was there for school and to take care of Brown, she just didn't care. Lindy was a pretty girl, with chocolate brown eyes and long dark hair. He told her that he was in love with her, but really he wasn't. He just wanted someone to comfort him, to wash away his problems. They were together for five months. After they had slept together multiple times, Pacey knew there was nothing there. They were both using each other. But that was the thing. Pacey never felt anything with those girls that he slept with. He thought that having sex would pull him out of his misery. It didn't though. The only one he did have feelings for was Drew. He was willing to wait as long as he had to for her.

"What are you thinking about?" Drew asked randomly, pulling Pacey out of the past.

Pacey stopped. He knew he couldn't tell Drew about his life before her. Not yet, anyway. What he had gone through was hell. He didn't think she needed to worry about him.

But he was wrong.

"Oh nothing," Pacey said before someone knocked loudly on Drew's door.

"Who is it?" Drew asked.

"It's Logan. There's someone at the door for you," he said, walking away.

Drew stumbled out of bed and almost opened the door before realizing she didn't have a a tank top on. Pacey got up too, waiting for her to pull the same shirt onto her torso. When she was ready, they both walked out and into the hallway.

"Hey Drew," a male voice said. Pacey looked at the front of the room by the door. A tall guy was standing there. He had dark hair and very light blue eyes. His smile was wide and kind of crooked. He was wearing a big jacket and dark semi-baggy jeans. Who was this guy?

Pacey looked at Drew, but she walked up to the young man.

"Drake, what are you doing here?"

Hey guys!
First of all, I know you're not used to having this be in Pacey's perspective, especially because it's in third person. The reason I didn't have this chapter be in first person like I normally do is because every time I wrote it like that, it was absolutely terrible.

But anyway, I have to thank someone for giving me the idea. I wasn't originally going to have a chapter in Pacey's point of view, but eyeloveyou convinced me otherwise.

Thank you to everyone for all of your comments. But I do feel like this story is kind of dragging on. I don't like to do this, but if I don't get more comments, I think I'm just going to stop this story.

Thank you everyone!
Mwah,
Alexandra.
