Every Road

I picked up my heavy backpack and tossed it over my shoulder. I had to find somewhere safe to spend the night. I made my way down the dark pathway that would eventually lead me to a small, unknown park. Looking around I spotted a descent size bush that I thought I would be able to curl my small body behind and get a good night sleep. I sat down and started pulling a sleeping bag out of my backpack and spread it across the floor. Tying my long, dark brown hair up into a loose bun, I placed the backpack under my head as a pillow and settled in for the night. I was glad that there was no rain tonight, only a cold breeze that blew across my face causing a shiver to run down my spine. I had to be up early if I wanted any chance of getting any food from the shelter other wise it was a day full of begging and hunger.

“Jesus fucking christ you never let me do anything. I’m not a fucking 2 year old anymore. I’m sick of this shit. I’m leaving.”
