Love and Other Lies
This is the way they would love, if they knew how Misery loved me.
As soon as he walked into the class room my heart caught in my throat, he's been asleep for almost two class periods, i covered of course. But it didn't stop me from looking up and seeing his tired eyes and messy hair. I shook my head as soon as the teacher got his attention.
"Hey Anna" Jacob whispered to me.
"What Jake?" I asked him.
"What's up with that kid? everyone says you took him out of school" He said looking slightly hurt. I know Jake has a crush on me but i would NEVER date him. He's like a little brother. So I smiled at him the smile I know will fix everything.
"because he was having a hard time Jake, nothing happened and nothing will... you know why and i am appalled you would even insinuate something like that." I replied playing hurt.
"ok, i'm sorry Anna... I know and I didn't mean to..." He said I had to cut him off and shut him up.
"it's ok Jake. Get your work done" I said turning back to mine, but the only thing I could concentrate on was the kiss. My first kiss. I may know alot of people, but i am not a slut.. i haven't even had my first boyfriend. I'm a junior and still hadn't had my first date. But that's on purpose. i'm not ready. The bell rang. Dimitri is not in my last period class... thank god.
"Hey Anna" I heard him behind me, but pretended to be really interested in Jake's conversation, much to Jake's happiness.
"and so on Friday we are going bowling... wanna go?" Jake said excitedly.
"sure" I smiled back.
"ok see you then!" He said running away.. leaving opportunity for Dimitri. She started walking a little faster so he couldn't catch up, seeing her class room she thought she was Scott free, boy was she wrong.
"Anna" He said breathlessly grabbing her arm.
"what" She said on the verge of tears, and getting madder and madder at herself.
"I just wanted to say thank you.. for.. covering for me, and letting me sleep in your car... and bowling..... and pool" He said she almost cracked.
"yea.... um, your welcome. it was a one time thing so i hope you had fun" I said trying to shove the tears back into my tear ducts.
"i did" He said just looking down at her with those eyes, enough to put her in an anxiety attack.
"i'm going to class" I said pulling away and dashing into the door, right before the tears started to fall. I looked up to see the whole class was staring at me. "my dog just died" I said moving to my desk.
"i'm so sorry, are you ok Anna" The teacher said
"i'm fine, i'm just going to sit in the back today" I said walking back and setting my stuff down.
"ok sweet heart, but if you need to leave we won't question you." He replied softly.
"thank you" I replied, I imagined Dimitri's arms around me, only making me cry harder.
