Frank both works for Gerard and takes care of him. Gerard is both Frank’s charge and his superior. Gerard is a creature of the night, a lost old soul looking for a friend.
Frank is young; new to the world of darkness in which Gerard has for so long dwelled, he is a small, shining light amidst his master’s shadowed past.
Each man needs something. For Frank, it’s a roof over his head, food on the table, and a steady pay. Not all that hard to come by for an able-bodied man in his day and age.
Gerard, on the other hand, needs something a little more complex. For the first time in longer than he cares to admit, he is no longer alone. He’s with Frank. And that’s just it. He needs to be with Frank. Because Frank can give him something that nobody else could ever even dream of giving, especially to someone like him.
But the question is, what keeps Frank coming back?
