Kirstie still hasn’t broken up with Caleb yet. I don’t get it! If she’s just with him because she feels bad that he says he missed her, she shouldn’t be with it! It frustrates me. She comes and talks to me about it. And I tell her the same thing over and over again! Why is it so hard?!

Tanner was out for the day, so we didn’t have any cutesy moments. His daughter wasn’t too entertaining. She didn’t feel well. I think it was just a stomach bug or something. She lay on the couch and slept most of the day. I was bored! While she was sleeping, I stayed in the kitchen so not to wake her. Someone knocked on the door though. With a huff, I got to my feet to get it. It was probably a box for Tanner full of sponsor stuff… That’s what I was expecting anyway. So you could imagine how surprised I was when I saw Kendall Schmidt at my door.

“Hey,” I greeted him with a small smile.

“Are you… busy?” he asked nervously.

“Nope,” I answered.

“Could we… maybe… talk?” he kept his tone up.

“Sure… are you ok?” I asked while looking at him sideways. Why exactly does he need to talk to me?

“Fine,” he assured me as the two of us stepped inside.

I told him softly that Kenzie was sleeping and led him to the kitchen. He pulled up chair at the table I was sitting at before and just sat there. He looked so… tense. I didn’t like it!

“I’m starting to think you’re lying to me about being fine…” I started.

“It’s uh… about… Kirstie,” he huffed.

“What about Kirstie?” I asked, unsure of all of this now.

“I… like her… a lot,” he muttered.

“Aw,” I cooed through a smile.

“No, not aw! She doesn’t see it!” he snapped, seeming to be really frustrated.

“Well, maybe if you tell her…” I hinted.

“I did… sort of. I played her a song. I’m sure she told you about the video I left on her computer,” he mumbled.

“She loved it,” I smiled, remembering how excited she got once she told me.

“She did?” he asked, seeming shocked, “She didn’t seem like it when she told me about it,” he mumbled.

“Sometimes… Kirstie doesn’t see the obvious things…” I chuckled.

“I don’t know,” he groaned.

“Don’t be afraid to put yourself out there. I mean… you kind of already did,” I told him.

“She might as well have just rejected me,” he complained. He so should have been an emo rocker instead of in a boyband…

“Just give it a shot. If she flat out rejects you, you can… write a hate song about me,” I snickered.

“She’s still with Caleb though,” he made a face.

“I’m trying to get her to break up with him. She just has too big of a heart and doesn’t want to hurt anyone,” I rolled my eyes.

“Too bad she’s not like you and hides most of her feelings away,” he teased.

“I do not!” I shot at him playfully.

“Yes, you do,” I heard a different voice form behind me.

I turned around to see Tanner leaning in the doorframe. How long has he been there?

“Do not,” I snapped out of that thought rather quickly.

Tanner just sent me a look as he walked into the room. Hey! I’ve been open to him! I may not show others what I’m feeling, but he always knows! This isn’t fair! He’s attacking me!

“I think you should just for go it… Even if she’s still with Caleb,” Tanner spoke… as he sat on my lap.

“I don’t know,” Kendall huff.

“What do you really have to lose?” I added.

He looked at me for a few seconds before he nodded his head. He didn’t stay much longer after that. I hope he goes for it. I’m sure he’d fit better with Kirstie than Caleb does. I swear that guy’s just… I don’t know. He’s a nice guy, but he’s just not for Kirstie! Kendall would be so much better for her. I just hope she realizes it.
