Big City Dreams

Dear Janessa,

I’m stopped at a gas station in some small town in Ohio. All I’ve done since Kentucky is drive, stopping only to get gas or pee. I finally had to pull over for some sleep. I figured it would be as good a time as any to write to you.

I really hope you’re not still mad at me. I just had to do it. If I didn’t just leave and never look back I would never leave. You know that town was killing me. I love you and I love Kentucky, but New York was always the plan. My dream. And that fight with Owen was the last straw. Think of it this way, you are the only person I bothered to actually say bye too. So you’re special right? Well better get back to driving. Please call me or write back.

Love your bestest friend in the whole wide world,
Addalyn
