Big City Dreams

Janessa,

Owen’s letter sucked. I don’t know if you read it, but it was a typical Owen apology. The terrible ones that I always forgive. But as much as I want to, it is not happening this time. Nope, I will not go running back into his arms. I will not go running back to the life I have always known and I miss so much. I will not run back to the love of my life. God I miss him Ness.

But lucky for me, I am slowly getting over him. I work so much I don’t really have time to think about it. And I had a date the other day.

Remember the cute waiter that got me my job. Yeah, he asked me out. His name is Duncan. He’s lived in New York his whole life. He work the same shift, so we always hang out while we work. We sticks around to hear me sing sometimes too. He’s hilarious. Definitely knows how to flatter a girl. Here’s the catch though. He has a kid. A two year old son. We’ve only been on one date so, our relationship isn’t super serious yet, but he wanted to make sure I didn’t have a problem with it. I haven’t met his son yet. But I have a feeling he’s an amazing dad.

We went bowling for our first date. Way better than some boring dinner date. One problem though, I suck at bowling. I lost desperately. He said his two year old could beat me. It was fun though. I had a really good time. I might be getting over Owen. Well I thought I was until I got that damn letter.

Ughhhhhh. Nessa. I miss you. I need you here to tell me what to do with all my stupid boy problems.

Love Ya,
Addi
