Big City Dreams

Nessie,

I wish I could. I want so badly to be there, right now more than anything. But, I can’t take three months off work at the diner. There’s no way I would have a job waiting for me when I got back. And I have news. I would have told you sooner, but you were reveling in all the wedding glory and I didn’t want to take it away from you. I’m going to be on Broadway. That’s right Nessa girl I made it. I am just a chorus girl, but it’s for Chicago. All my rejections in the past year were worth it. And all my actor friends were in New York way longer than I was before they even got a chorus part. Especially in such a big show. I can’t leave for three months now. Honestly, I’m already begging the director to give me the time off to go to the wedding. Truth be told you should just hire a new maid of honor. Sarah would be just as good of one (better because she’s in the same state). And she’s dating the best man. That’s right, I do have other contacts in Kentucky than just you. I know Owens moved on. But it’s ok, so have I. I am so sorry Nessie. I want to be there and do all the pre-wedding stuff with you, I just can’t.

Love with all my heart,
Addie
