The Future is Now

Jacks POV:
I woke up the next morning and Melinda was already gone, of course she was its like 9. I got up and showered and went and checked our answering machine, we had one message. I hit play and it was my mom asking me call her back because she needed my help today so i called her back.

"Hello?" she said answering

"Hey mom its Jack" i said

"Oh hi!, i assume you got my message?" she asked

"Yep. What did you need my help with?" i asked

"Well i wanna clean out your old room. I wanna make it into a office, i thought you could come and clean it out and take whatever you wanna keep" she said

"Oh, your really getting rid of my room. Dont you wanna keep it as a memory?" i asked, it was sad she was getting rid of it

"Jack your a grown man with a job and a wife. You dont need the room" she laughed

"Whatever. Yeah i'll come, can i bring Alex?" i asked

"Of course" she said

"Okay when should we come over?" i asked

"Is 12 good?" she asked

"Yep, see you then" i said

"Bye" she said and i hung up

I called Alex and he was totally on board. Later i picked him up and we went to my parents house, the house was actually closer to his then i relised. We walked in and my mom and my aunt were looking at paint samples.

"Hey, hey aunt Leslie" i said

"Hi Jack" my aunt said

"Hi sweetie, hi Alex" she said and he waved

"So you want us to just go on up?" i asked

"Yes. Theres lots of stuff in there" she laughed, she wasnt kidding. When i moved out alls i took was my close, guitar and music collection

"Alright" i said and we went upstairs

We walked into my room and alls these memories came flooding back. We had lots of good times in here, thousands of crazy sleepovers. I opened my closet and there was lots of stuff inside.

"Damn Jack, you were a hoarder" Alex said

"Yeah" i said pulling out a box and dragging it to the middle of the floor

"What the hells in here?" he asked

"I dont know" i said ripping it open, there was lots of pictures and notes and stuff

"Woah are these notes we used to pass in school?!" Alex asked picking one up

"Yeah" i said

"Lets see. Hey Alex Lacy just got up and theres period all over her seat...ewww!" Alex said reading the note grossed out

"Ew i cant believe i wrote that" i laughed

"I can. Its totally your personality, can i keep to show Sophie?" he asked

"Yeah, i'll probably keep this whole box if theres more notes like that in here" i laughed digging through the box

"Well looky looky!" i said pulling out a paper crown

"You kept that stupid thing?, i threw mine out once i got home" he said

"I kept alot of art projects from school apparently" i said pulling out paintings and clay models

"Damn Jack!" he laughed

"Awww a teddy bear from my first girlfriend!" i said

"Oh yeah. Kaylen. Whatever happened to her?" he asked

"I dont no, last i heard she was a stripper" i laughed and he raised his eye brow and got up

"Of course, little tramp. Hey whats this?" he said

"A trophie. I played soccer when i was like 5" i said

"Right i forgot" he said

"Jack did you find anything worth keeping?" my mom asked walking in

"This entire box" i said

"Nice. Your trophies i will definitely keep" she said

"Good" i said

"Oh no!" Alex said

"What?" i asked

"You framed this picture?!" he said showing it to me, it was us on halloween when we were like 14 and i was a ghost and Alex was one of the ghost busters

"Yep. Im keeping it as well, i wanna show your kids" i said

"Great" he said sarcastic

We looked around my room at all the other stuff but didnt really find anything else to keep except a mask. We took all the stuff over to Alexs, we poured it all out on Alexs floor and kept looking through it. Alex had Zack pick up the kids and told him he needed to call Rian to come over. Later Zack came back with the kids, he looked at us weird. I just patted the spot next to me.

"What the hells all this?" he asked

"Stuff from my room!, wheres Rian?" i asked

"He was busy. Why do you have all this?" he asked

"My mom had me clean out my old room so she could make it a office" i said

"Oh okay" he said

"Hey Casey, Micah, Charlotte. Come here" i said and they came over and Casey sat in my lap

"Whats all this?" Casey asked

"All my old stuff. Look at this picture" i said handing her the halloween picture

"Is that daddy?" she asked

"Yep" i said and looked over at Alex who was blushing

"Daddy, you look silly" she laughed

"Your daddy was really silly" Zack said

"It just sucks Rians missing out" Alex said

"Totally" i said

"Im hanging this picture on your fridge" Zack said to Alex showing him the picture, the picture was of all of us after our first show

"Yes!. Hang it up!" Alex said excited and Zack left the room

"Memories" i sang and Alex laughed and grabbed a few pictures to look at
