Chapter 3 - a boy named Flame
~Nick~
I stared at this strange girl who called herself Rachel. I wasn’t sure if I could trust her. I mean, she looked nice enough, but she is a total stranger to me. I mean, I’m 17; she’s probably 20 or something.
I sighed, and played with my eggs, and asked, “So, where should we go from here do you think?”
Rachel looked up at me, and said, “Well, from my few hours of experience here, I’d say we have a look around.”
I raised an eyebrow, and asked, “What do you mean by ‘experience’?”
Rachel frowned, and said, “Oh, what I meant was before I found you, I was being madly chased by a baseball/someone’s head.”
By what she said made me think for a while, and then I started to laugh. This caused Rachel to look at me funny, which made me laugh even harder. And, well, laughing can be contagious, so she joined in, and we laughed for a good 12 minutes.
We both stopped once we heard a knock at the front door. We both exchanged glances, and I asked, “What do we do?”
Rachel then said, “Wait here.”
She came back holding a…”Is that a sword? Where did you find that?”
She nodded, and said, “I made my rounds of the house and found that it has a lot of weapons and stuff in it, so why not take a few?”
We then heard the knock again, and she raced toward the front door again, sword in hand.
~Rachel~
I walked to the door slowly, and opened it to see an old widowed women standing there with a basket. I stared at her as she looked me up and down, and said, “Well, I certainly thought no one lived here.”
I looked at the old women, and said, “Ma’am, I don’t live here, I just happened to be passing by, is there something you want?”
She smiled wickedly, her eyes glowing green, said, “Yes, you!”
I then saw a purple portal open up in front of me, and before I got sucked in, I yelled, “Nick, help!”
~Nick~
I waited for a good 5 minutes before I got the nerve to get up and see what was taking Rachel so long.
When I walked out of the kitchen, all I saw was Rachel standing there with the sword, and she looked like she was talking to someone.
I stayed hidden until I heard a big whoosh sound, and saw that Rachel was being sucked into something, and then I heard her say, “Nick, help!”
I then ran as fast as I could, and jumped into the portal before it could disappear thinking, Oh no, not again.

We fell through a tunnel of colors, Rachel and I, and then found ourselves sitting in a parking lot.
I stared at Rachel as she looked around, and asked, “Where are we?”
I looked around too, and then spotted a big building in front of us, it read: The School of Reality. I then helped Rachel stand to her feet; I can see she was a bit dizzy from the portal.
“Well, well, well, look what we have here,” Rachel and I heard a snobbish voice behind us.
We both turned around to see a boy with red hair, pale skin; he was wearing black shades, blue jeans, and a black shirt. Along with him were a few more boys who looked a like, just with different faces.
Rachel folded her arms, and asked in a tough voice, “And who are you exactly?”
The boy with red hair smiled, and said, “Why my lovely…my name is Flame.”
With a smirk on his face, I knew we were in for something big.
