Steel Hearts

I come from a high class family; we lived in Greece until I was ten. My mother was around very little when I was growing up, my dad and I moved to the United States soon after my tenth birthday.

Things change the summer after I graduated high school. I already had my university acceptance letter, and was all set to go when classes finally start – but that doesn’t happen.

My name is Melanie Blackwood; I am half American, half Greek. Half Mortal. Half Goddess.

This is my story of how I came into my power, how I struggled with it, and what happens fate isn’t on your side.
