I Was Right
The door brush open making me jump up slightly form my trance looking over at the door.
“Where is the baby?” Sammy asks.
“Sammy I think Rose is trying to sleep,” My dad said.
“You upset her. Where is little Hanna.”
I sit up and Nate kisses my forehead.
“Where is he?” I ask.
“Nursery. It’s only been an hour,” Nate said.
I sigh and turn around to see Sammy and my dad.
“Where is the Hanna?” My dad asks.
I giggle a little causing them to look at me.
“While there is something we need to tell everyone,” Nate said.
“Did she not make it?” Sammy asks.
“I was right and we have a baby boy,” I said.
“Really a boy?”
“Boy.”
“What you name him?”
“Christian Adams.”
“Christian Adams?” My dad asks.
“So what do you guys have to do?” Sammy asks.
“We need to re-do the nursery,” Nate said.
“And clothes,” I said.
“That is true.”
The door opens and a nurse came in rolling Christian in. I smile and Nate gets him and hand him to me. I kiss his forehead.
“Say hi grandpa and Uncle Sammy,” I said.
Sammy came over and looks at Christian.
“Oh he is a cut little baby,” Sammy said.
“Yes he is isn’t he,” I said.
I smile and kiss his forehead. My dad came and holds his arms out. I hand him to my dad. Nate warps his arms around me and kisses my forehead.
“How are you feeling?” Nate asks.
“I’m hungry.”
Nate kisses my forehead.
“I will go get something for you,” Nate said.
“Thanks.”
He kisses my forehead and Sammy looks at Christian.
“He looks like a big baby,” Sammy said.
“The nurses say he is.”
“Why is he so big?”
“I ate healthy making him health.”
“Ok.”
I smile at Sammy.
“No middle name?” My dad asks.
“Nope we like Christian,” I said.
“Can I hold him?” Sammy asks.
“Be careful.”
“Promise.”
Nate came and hand me a yogurt making me smile. I take it and eat it. Nate kisses my forehead.
“Do you want more?” Nate asks.
“I want fruit,” I said.
“A nurse said you shouldn’t be hungry.”
“I don’t like people.”
“Only one more day here.”
“I don’t want to be here.”
Nate kisses my forehead and smiles at me. I smile at him. They hand me Christian and Nate took a hold of him.
