Alex Gaskarth got his best friend back.
Then he lost her again. Or rather, she forgot him again.
Allie will suffer with her memory loss for the rest of her life, and this time she's not going to remember him. She can't even remember her own mother. So she left.
Alex hasn't been the same, he pretty much went back to how he was the last time, but I guess he's doing better, he writes a lot of songs about her. He has a little more hope this time. Because he promised to marry her. He was going to keep that promise.
Allie promised not to forget him. She broke that promise. But now, five months later she's coming back to town with a whole new promise.
