I Can Keep a Secret

Alex's POV:
I woke up the next morning and i had the feeling it was really early, i looked at the clock and it was a little after 7. Not to early but early for me. Why cant i sleep late!. I sighed frusterated and got up and went out to the livingroom. I expected it to be empty and was surprised to see Amberlyn up sitting on the couch with glasses on and reading. She had basketball shorts, a neon green sports bra and a big lose tank top on. She looked cute. I grabbed my flip off the kitchen table and ran back to the livingroom, she looked up when she heard me.

"Alex!" she yelled as i filmed her, what can i say. I love messing with her

"And here we have our genius at work" i laughed

"And here we have the singer with a black eye and no camera if he doesnt shut the thing off" she mocked me and tryed hidding behind her book

"Oh harsh young Barakat" i said and she cocked a eyebrow at me

"Go away" she said

"No. By the way, you look like Jack with those on" i said

"Oh thanks, so i look like a boy?. Wow what a compliment, a real charmer you are Gaskarth. You really know how to make a girl feel special" she said sarcastic and laughed and i laughed

"No you just look like a feminine version of him" i said

"Whatever, stop filming me" she said

"No!" i said

"Yes!" she yelled

"Nope!" i yelled

"Yes!" she said

"No!" i said

"Alex, come on" she whinned

"What the hell are you two yelling about?" Jack said walking in wearing his glasses

"Oh man this is to good!" i laughed filming Jack and then Amberlyn

"Like brother like sister" Jack laughed

Later that day i was sitting on the back deck working on my new song, i had it almost done but i needed to change stuff so now its not. I had to change some lyrics which is always hard to change. While i was minding my own business Amberlyn came outside. She sat across from me, i looked up and she smiled at me.

"Nice music" she said

"Thanks, whats up?" i asked

"I need to ask you somthing" she said

"Yes?" i said

"Well...can you come to the store with me?" she asked

"For?..." i said trailing off

"Tampons" she said

"Ewww!, did you ask Jack to go?" i said

"Yes and he said that the thought of a womans period made him weak and then walked away" she said and i laughed

"Idiot. But sure i guess i'll go, you sure you cant go alone?" i asked

"I could but i dont wanna" she said

"Alright, lets go" i said

"Thanks" she said smiling

We went to the nearest rite aid and went in, i was kinda weirded out. I dont have a sister so i never actually had to know about this stuff or be involved in it. I mean i knew there was blood involved, thats all i needed to hear to be grossed out. We went down the isle and i picked up a box.

"How about these?" i said and she took it

"Alex, those are pads" she said

"What!, no way. All the pads are in those bag thingys, what are they trying to do mess with our minds" i said

"Probably" she said

"Well i mean just grab a box of them it cant be that hard" i said

"It kinda is, it depends on your flow" she said

"What?" i said and she rolled her eyes at me and sighed

"The amount of blood that leaks out of you, you need the right size so that the blood doesnt escape or whatever and it needs to fit" she said

"Ewww!, thats horrifying" i said

"Yes it is" she laughed

"Okay now i know what Jack means, this is making me weak to. Hurry up!" i said putting the box down and cringed and she laughed and her phone rang

"Hello?...this is Amberlyn.........what!?, i thought we didnt start for a few days..........okay yeah i'll be there......no its totally fine...okay bye" she said hanging up

"Whats going on?" i asked

"The work on the store starts today, i got my days mixed up. I need to go there and manage stuff and whatever" she said

"Alright lets hurry up then" i said

"Mhmm" she said

After she got her tampons we went home and she got everything she needed and left. I was home all alone and decided to sit on a tube in the pool, its the perfect way to just think. I changed and went out to the pool and got on the tube, the water was so cold but nice. After about ten minutes i heard my name. I looked up and my cousin Addison was walking into our backyard.

"Hey" i said

"Hey!, why the hells your front door locked?" she asked

"I dont no, Amberlyn must have locked it" i said

"Jacks sister right?" she asked walking over to the pool

"Yep, she lives with us" i said

"You must love that" she said, she knew i liked Amberlyn. She was the one person i always talked to about secret stuff and i knew i could trust her. Shes like my sister, always has been

"Mhm" i said

"Does she know about this little crush yet?" she asked taking off her clothes, revealing a bright red bikini and she jumped over the edge of the pool and got in

"No. And why didnt you just go up on the deck and get in normally" i said

"Thats for losers, now when are you gonna confess your love to this girl!" she said

"I dont no" i sighed

"Do it soon" she said and i nodded

"Yeah" i said

"No! do it today!, where is she?" she said

"At her store" i said

"Lets go!, by the way im borrowing some clothes!" she said and got out of the pool

We got changed and left, i dont know what im doing i cant tell her!. We drove for about fifteen minutes and those were the longest minutes ever. When we got to the store we walked in, Amberlyn was sitting on a chair writing on a clip board.

"Hey" i said

"Hey!, hi...im sorry i forget your name" she said

"Addison, Alexs favorite cousin ever!" Addison said

"Hey" Amberlyn laughed

"So Alex needs to talk to you" Addison said

"I dont" i said

"Mhmm, go outside and talk you to" she said pushing us outside

"So whats going on?" Amberlyn asked

"Uhmm...i just-...is Jack single. I know someone who might wanna date him" i lied

"No clue" she said

"Okay" i said

"That was it?" she asked

"Mhmm" i said

"Okay. Weird i gotta get back to work, see you later Alex" she laughed and went inside and Addison came out

"Did you tell her!?" she said

"No" i said

"Alex!" she said annoyed

"I know when i'll tell her, at the store opening" i said and she nodded
