She Killed My Brain

- To Destine!

I laid in my bed just waiting for something bad to happen, I guess I just knew I was going to get caught. I hadn't cared earlier but I cared now. I just laid there and I knew the sun was rising more and more as these seconds seemed like hours. I was nervous, and I don't like being nervous. I heard foot steps, then I heard my doorknob twist. I closed my eyes making it seem like I was asleep. 'Dear lord, no grounding please!' I heard my mom let out a sigh of relief. 'Did she know I was gone?!' I heard her footsteps growing closer, my breathe caught in my throat.

"Nattie, sweetie?" she nudged my arm trying to wake me. I squirmed, trying to act like I had been in a deep sleep. "Nattie." I rolled over and looked at her sleepily.

"Yeah." I said trying to sound as tired as I could.

"Sweetie, you need to get up. The suns shining and I want you up early today." she spoke so happily. I wasn't actually tired until she told me I needed to get up.

"Can't I get up later?" I asked her.

"You've been asleep for no telling how long, up, up, up!" I was starting to get pissed at how cheery she was and how tired I was.

"Mom I'm not exactly feeling well..." I trailed off trying to not lie about my body, I don't like discussing this with my mother.

"Oh, well, I'll come back in here and wake you up a little bit latter." she patted me and I rolled back over tiredly now. I closed my eyes and was thinking of how collected I was, not blowing my cover at all. THANK YOU JESUS! I laid there and starting drifting in and out.

"Nattie, sweetie, wake up!" I heard a cheery voice, I looked up and saw Danni. I blinked wildly not expecting to see him.

"Danni?!" I said raising up. "What are you doing here?" I was confused.

"I wanted to see you before I went with Miranda." I squinted my eyes as he just smiled at me.

"Where are you two going?" I tried to ask as politely as I could. He smiled, being an ass.

"We're going to go to the beach, she has the weekend off. She wanted me to go while she had the time." 'He doesn't trust me with Jimmy but I'm suppose to trust Miranda with him? I know he won't do anything, but her. She's an ass to me and just wants to hurt me.'. He just stared at me. "Are you okay with this?"

"It's fine," I smiled. "We aren't the jealous type. We agreed to let each other have different friends. No big deal." I just hate her fucking bitch self is all. He kneeled down a placed his lips on my lips, giving me a very loving kiss. I loved his kisses, this one, not so much. He ran his fingers through my hair, letting his hand then go to my jaw line cupping my face. His lips let go and he pulled away and smiled at me. I smiled back, trying to match his smile.

"I love you." he had a sparkle in his eye.

"I love you too." I tried to have a toothy smile, like I was in heaven. Knowing damn well my emotions weren't matching his like that had been. He didn't notice a thing though. Was he oblivious to it, or just blinded by love? He smiled and walked out my door, I sat up and frowned. I pushed the thought out of my head, it's never nice to wake up with negative thoughts. I rubbed my eyes and made my way to the shower. I brushed my hair getting my knots out. I might go ahead and dye my hair again. I undressed and got into the shower, bathing and washing my hair. I hopped out of the shower and dried my hair off with the towel and put it back around myself. I looked at my face in the mirror, seeing a blackhead on my nose, I scrunched my face up. Quickly beginning to wash my face and brush my teeth. I walked to my room and tried to find some clothes. I put on some tight bel bottoms and a V-Neck shirt. I put on the necklace Danni got me so long ago, I always wore it in my shirt when I went out. But when I was around Danni I wore it outside  of my shirt. He never got me a ring, it's what I really wanted. I brushed my hair detangling it. I looked at myself, I wanted a little bit of makeup on. Eyeliner, eyeshadow and a little bit of powder, I thought it looked decent enough to not be doing anything. My hair was starting to dry, then I remembered. 'Me and Jimmy were gonna do our hair together.' I smiled at the thought, him and I getting dye all over the place. I chuckled to myself. I walked out of the bathroom and I heard my mom talking.

"Oh, that sounds wonderful!" she had such a happiness in her voice, I didn't know who the hell she was talking to. I peeked my head around the corner and I only saw her back and some of her hair. Her arms were going with her voice, I could tell by her tone she was thrilled. "Let me go get her, she should've been up long ago." I ducked back around the corner, she walked around the corner and saw me there. "Oh Nattie!" she put her hand to her heart. "Don't scare me like that," she smiled, letting it go.

"Hey," I furrowed my eyebrows together. 'Why did I saw that?'. She saw my looked and looked confused herself.

"Someone's here to see you!" she grabbed my arm pulling into the kitchen, what I saw just confused me more. I saw Jimmy, with his hair nicely faded, sticking up in small places. He looked at me and smiled his cheery smile, I of course, couldn't help but smile back at that smile.

"Hey." I cheered at Jimmy.

"Hey doll." he smirked at me, I didn't know how I felt about the word doll; but Jimmy made it feel suited.

"Nattie," my mom hopped in the conversation. "Jimmy wanted to take you somewhere today, I told him you weren't feeling good and then he got a great idea!" she looked over at Jimmy and smiled.

"Let's go to the beach!" Jimmy shot his arms up in the air. He was so excited. My eyes shot wide. Jimmy — Jimmy actually wanted to take me to the beach?! I, what?

"I'm so confused..." I confessed. Jimmy just walked over by me and put his arm over my shoulder and rubbed my shoulder with his hand.

"I'm taking little Nattie," he pointed to me. "Which is you." I laughed. "To the beach because it's summer, and as I've been told, you haven't been feeling good." he winked at me, I giggled. I blushed instantly. He smiled at me wider.

"The beach from here is like forty-five minutes away."

"We're not going to that one. We're going to the one in Destine!" my eyes grew wider.

"No fu–dging way!" I looked over at my mom so see her turn her head slightly to me, giving me the look to watch my language. Then it hit me 'Danni's going to the beach.' Jimmy must've saw my concerned look. He squeezed my shoulder reassuring me, though he had no idea what I was concerned about. There's no way Danni would take her to Destine, he'a never taken me. I always wanted to go but he would never take me, he has stuff to do during my summer. I hadn't said a word and I could see Jimmy was growing impatient with my look.

"Get packin'!" he shook my out of my trance. "We leave when you get ready!" I looked over at him. "Yes, before you ask. I have all my stuff ready, I prepared myself. I should be congratulated!" I pushed him jokingly and he put his head down like a little puppy. I petted him and he walked into the living room.

"I guess I'll get my stuff." I motioned with my eyes for my mom to follow me into my room. She got the hint. We made it into my room and I pulled out a tote bag and started putting a few clothes in it.

"What's wrong?" she already knew. I put my head down.

"Danni's going to the beach with Miranda." I let out with a whimper. She came over and hugged me.

"Is that why he came over today?" I nodded.

"I don't know which beach they're going too, but I know he wouldn't take her to Destine." I put a small smile on my face. She let a frown take over her face.

"Nattie, don't worry about Danni and Miranda. You and Jimmy have fun, you really need it." she smiled to me; it was true. I need to have some fun, and not hate Danni for having it all. I got all my stuff together and zipped my tote bag, struggling to carry it. We walked out of my room to the living room to see Jimmy standing there, looking patient as ever.

"I'm ready!" he walked over tl me and got my bag.

"You don't need to carry that, you're a...Lady!" he ran towards the car with it, throwing his trunk open but gently putting my bag in the trunk. Then he slammed it shut  and raced back over to me. I couldn't help but laugh at all of this, he's so energetic and happy all the time. I love Jimmy. I giggled like a little girl when he came back up to me.

"I'm ready if you are." I smiled at him.

"Let's hit the rode!" he pointed his finger into the air. We both hugged my mother as she said her goodbyes to us. She doesn't really know Jimmy, but her trust in people are usually the best. She knows what to look for in people. We hopped into the car and I was already excited, I've never been to Destine. He closed his door, stuck the key in the ignition. He roared loud and I laughed at how it sounded. I hope Jimmy can drive well.
