Be Like You

Slob

“Lizzie I miss that munchkin” Meagan complained over the phone.

It was my second week in London, and living with Harry was only the beginning of my irritations’. It’s not like had had a girl over every night, that would have been better; but almost every night he had the guys over.

Guys night wasn’t my favorite thing. At all.

“I miss you too” I muttered.

“Just remember this is all for him.” She chuckled.

Getting off the phone I looked around the apartment, I didn’t mind cleaning up after James’s things, but not Harry’s.

“Hi honey, I know daddy’s a slob” I cooed picking up James from his bouncer.

“I’m not a slob” Harry complained walking into the flat with bags in his hands.

Noticing what was in the bags and the ribbons spilling everywhere, I shook my head, “Harry, no more Christmas presents. There’s no more room under the tree.”

Ignoring me he started placing the boxes under the tree and around it, stacking it in piles; the entire bottom level of the tree was hidden behind the presents and if I were to look right now
it would all be for James.

“How’s my boy” Harry grinned taking him out of my arms taking him to the couch.

I held my tongue so I wouldn’t say something mean I just quietly made my way to start making dinner, I wasn’t in the mood to make something too difficult so I started to boil the water. Harry could deal with simple pasta for dinner.

Harry followed into the kitchen with James, bouncing him up and down as he laughed, “I told Gemma she could stop by for dinner, is that alright?”

“Yeah, I just might crash early. Can you watch James if I do?” I asked him.

“It’s not a problem” he murmured, “Lizzie. I’ve told you this since you moved in. if you ever just need some space to yourself your more than welcome to leave James with me for the day or something. Nothing’s going to happen.”

I sighed, “I know. And I want to, but I just can’t leave him, I just get worried now thinking about leaving him.”

Laughing he pecked my forehead, “You have to leave him alone eventually. What are you going to do when he starts school?”

“Don’t even mention that” I warned him, “I’ll home school him or something.”

Rolling his eyes he handed me James back, “You go give him a bath and I’ll make dinner; and don’t worry about feeding him, I will. You just go get him ready for bed.”

I thanked god everyday that James loved taking baths, there were so many baby stories where they couldn’t handle baths and would only cry. James just watched in wonder as I
bathed him, the only problem was getting him out of the water.

“Daddy has dinner ready” I cooed sitting down with him in my lap.

“Are you breast feeding tonight?” Harry asked sitting down, ever since he’d been in James’s life he’d been involved in everything.

From what James slept in, what he bathed in and what I fed him. He’d gotten to the point where he wanted to use organic diapers and such.

I shrugged my shoulders, “I don’t know, I probably can but he’s at three months. I’d rather get him used to the bottle for now.”

He nodded, “Gemma offered to watch him for the day tomorrow. Is there anything you want to do?”

“I think I’ll go to the gym and then see about my classes.” I told him softly as I rocked James back and forth.

I’d lost all my weight from the pregnancy except for the fact that my breasts were now almost two sizes larger and they weren’t going down anytime.

“Lizzie you don’t have to go to the gym. You look fine” he murmured looking into my eyes.
I ignored him, rocking James back and forth before grabbing his bottle and starting to feed
him.

Once Gemma arrived I said hello to her for a few minutes, leaving James with harry before heading to my room.

Being cooped up inside all day and everyday could only get to someone, and all I wanted was to sleep right now. Surprisingly I slept through the whole night, not waking up once from
James waking up in the middle of the night.

“Did you sleep alright?” Harry asked the next morning.

I nodded looking over at James in his bassinet, “James didn’t wake up?”

Harry shook his head chuckling, “I got to him before he could wake you up. So I brought him to my room. He slept alright from there.”

“You should keep him more often” I smiled softly.

“Do you think we can spend the day together?” Harry looked at me, “Just like old time?
Gemma’s staying with him here since her place is getting fumigated.”

I raised my eye brows at him confused, “And do what?”

He shrugged, “I don’t know, go out for lunch do some shopping. We haven’t spent any time together in forever.”

“I didn’t think there was a reason to” I mused.

“Please? Just as friends, and I want to get you something for Christmas.”

“Alright. I guess I can spend the day with you” I sighed giving up.
