Everyone, except me, came back from the icy blue waves dripping lake water everywhere they went. I threw towels at their faces in revenge for getting wet and for “abusing” me earlier.

Further up the hill, I had started a small bonfire for them to dry by. Dawn and Sam brought out a small boom box and a picnic basket from behind one of the umbrellas and distributed sparklers. With the radio on as loud as possible, we sang random songs and ran/ danced around with the colorful flares from the sparklers illuminating the night where the flame’s light couldn’t reach. One Direction’s Everything About You came on and the boys sang their respective parts while Dawn and I sang whenever we felt and Sam did air instrumentals.

As we finished the song, we laughed and hugged; probably drunken on our own fun! After we calmed down a bit, I whipped out the chocolate, marshmallows, and graham crackers so we could make s’mores. All of our foreign friends kept burning the delicate marshmallows, so I decided to help them eat the extra gooey/ burnt s’mores they made. They weren’t as clean as Sam’s, Dawn’s, or even mine but it’s the thought and effort that counts. Though, with all the suggestive looks I was given from my friends, I didn’t notice the gleam in each of the boys’ eyes.
