Someone Somewhere

Danny sat there in his bunk staring at his phone which he held in his hand. He wondered why his sister hadn’t emailed him yesterday at all or called him yet today. Usually she calls him in the afternoon every second and last Wednesday of the month and emails him every Tuesday and Thursday. He started to worry a little as to why he hadn’t gotten either from her yet but let it slide as he realized what time it was. He knows that if something bad was to have happened to her, he would have been notified already. So he knew she was alright.
Danny sighed to himself as he slowly rolled off his bunk and hit the floor with a thud and just laid there for a moment, not caring about the slight pain in his body, before he stood up slowly and shoved his phone back into his pocket.

Ben finished the rest of his cigarette before throwing it onto the ground and walking back onto the bus to grab a bottle of water and change his clothes before they hit the stage. He stopped what he was doing and closed the fridge door as he heard a thud from the bunk area. “what the hell?” he said to himself as he walked over to the bunk area, “Danny, what the hell mate?” Ben just stood their, looking at Danny who lay face down on the floor for a moment before getting back up again.

he hadn’t heard Ben come in. he thought he was alone by himself on the bus. Danny looked over at Ben as he put on a different shirt, “Jayda hasn’t emailed me or called me yet today” Danny sighed. He wasn’t upset or anything. Just confused. He couldn’t help but wonder why.

“I’m sure she’s fine mate. You would have known by now if she wasn’t. I’m sure she’s just…I don’t know...excited about next week or something. Isn’t she getting out then?” Ben grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge and walked back over to Danny. He opened the bottle of water, chugged half of it and put it down on the small counter before following Danny back off the bus.

Danny pulled out his pack of cigarettes and lit one up “stupid lighter” he threw his lighter to the ground and then reached into Bens pocket and took his lighter. “Yeah she gets out next week and yeah maybe your right. Maybe it just slipped her mind or something” he put bens lighter back in Bens pocket before handing the cigarette over to him “how long until we’re on?”

As if exactly on cue, Cameron came through the back doors of the venue “we got ten minutes until we’re on” and with that being said, he disappeared back into the venue, doors slamming shut behind him.

“guess we better go in” Danny said, taking one last drag of his cigarette before stubbing it out and following Ben inside. He was ready to just go on stage and play.

Jay looked out the window of plane as they were about to touch down in Orlando Florida. She was excited and counted down from twenty and soon as she hit zero, the plane touched ground, she slightly laughed. Even though it was only a two and a half hour plane ride from Virginia to Orlando, Florida, to Jayda it felt like days. All she wanted to do was get off the plane, grab her bag and go. She could not stand sitting for any longer.
Jay grabbed her nap sack from above and followed her aunt off the plane, down the little hall way thing and into Orlando International Airport. It was huge. She stood there for a moment, bag dangling from her hand, as she looked around at what she could see of the airport. “It’s bloody huge” she exclaimed excitedly as she continued to follow her aunt a few minutes longer until they finally got outside and found their way to her aunts truck. “Nice truck auntie” Jay climbed into the front seat, placing her nap sack down at her feet as Karen go into the drivers seat and started the truck.

“Thanks Love. Cost me a load of money for this” she said with w small laugh as they pulled out of parking lot. Karen turned the radio on before looking over at Jay, “say love, are you hungry? We can go and get something to eat. I’m sure you would love that and I told Danny I would be there around six-ish so we got about two hours”

Jay looked out the window and at the surrounding around for a quick moment before replying to Karen. “I would love to. I’m starving right now” she reached down for her bag, pulling her bottle of water out of it and drank the rest of the water she had in it “Hey Karen just out of curiosity..” she put the empty water bottle back into her bag, “what exactly did you tell Danny about you stopping by to see him?”

“I told him I was going to pick him up and take him for dinner, spend some time with him while he’s here. And where would you like to eat?”

She thought about it for a moment before coming to a conclusion that she was so hungry, she couldn’t decide nor did she really care where it was that they ate. So she let her aunt decide. They ended up going to a place called the Montana’s.

“Thank You so much for having us here with you tonight, Orlando! Have a good night!” Danny screamed into the mic as the last note of the night was hit, he bowed and the crowd cheered even louder before he looked behind him at Ben, Sam, Cameron and James, following them all off stage. The crowd was still in cheers as the boys walked backstage and it made Danny smile.

“Good show boys!” Ben screamed, jumping onto James’ back, knocking him down onto the floor. The group of boys busted out into laughter as the watched it happen. Ben smiled and stood up, helping James up from the floor to.
Ben couldn’t help but wonder about Danny. Although Danny had told him he was fine, he knew was worried because Jay hadn’t called him yet. Its not like her to not call him or email him on the days she is aloud. Now Ben had never met Jay before in his life but from what Danny has told him, he knows she is a good person.

“Ben you fucker! I need your lighter. My aunt is going to be here soon to get me and she hates me smoking around her. So can I please use you lighter so I can have a smoke before she gets here?” Danny said all in one breathe and then finally breathing In deep again. He looked down at his phone and say the text that Karen sent him saying she would be there in fifteen to twenty minutes.
Danny hated having to leave the guys to do clean up and he would have stayed like usual to help them and all but he barely ever sees his aunt.

Ben jumped at the sound of Danny’s voice. He hadn’t realized he had stopped and been staring off into space, “you fuckin’ scared me mate” he took his lighter from his pocket and threw it towards Danny before pulling out his own pack of cigarettes and following Danny outside the venue.

“Ah shit!” Danny swore as he felt his pockets and realized that he had left his pack of cigarettes inside, “fuck. ‘ere mate” he said, giving Ben back his lighter, “I’ll be right back. My smokes are inside” he disappeared back inside and left Ben standing their smoking as a black ___________ truck pulled into the back.

The light went red and Karen told Jay that they were now only a block away from the venue. Jay squirmed in her seat. She was finally going to see her brother again after two years. She sighed deeply to herself as she somewhat now felt a little nervous.

“don’t be nervous, love” Karen placed a hand on Jays knee as she drove. She could tell that Jayda had just suddenly become nervous by the way she started bouncing her knee up and down. It was a habit of hers when she either got bored or nervous. And Karen was guessing that Jay was not at all bored. “everything is going to be alright Jay” she reassured her niece as she turned the corner and then pulled into the back alley way of the Beacham Theatre. “well” she said, turning to Jay, “this is it, we’re here”

Jay looked out the front window of the truck, hoping to see Danny right away but the only person she saw was a tall, tattoo covered, boy wearing nothing but shorts, standing their smoking, “I don’t know if I should wait here or if I should go ask that guy if he knows where Danny is. I kind of want to do both but I’m scared”

“theirs nothing to be scared about Love. Your nervous, its completely normal and fine and you choose what it is you want to do”

she nodded in response and sat their quietly, thinking for a moment about what she was going to do. She would like to see the look on her brothers face when he goes to climb into the front seat and then see’s her their. But then again, she liked the though of being able to run up to him and jump into his arms. “I’ll be right back” she said before climbing out of the truck, closing the door behind her and walking up to the guy who was smoking, “Um...excuse me?”

Ben turned around, cigarette hanging from his mouth, to see a girl standing their. Shorter than himself and with long brown hair, little wavy at the ends. Very pretty. ‘probably just another groupie like the rest’ he thought to himself, taking his cigarette out of his mouth and blowing the smoke, “hey whats up?” he said, trying to sound as happy as he could. When his best friend was feeling down, he couldn’t help but feel the same, “would you like me to sign something?”

She looked away for a moment and then back at the boy standing in front of her, actually no. I was just wondering if you where Danny is?” she looked behind her at her aunts truck and then back at him again

Ben was taken back a little as she spoke softly with an English accent. He lightly nodded in response, throwing his cigarette to the ground, “yeah I know where he is. What’s up? Why do you want Danny?”

“it’s uh…kind of really important. Can you please just get him?” Jay didn’t mean to sound a little annoyed with the last thing said but she couldn’t wait any longer. She wanted to see her brother now and at the moment, this guy, whoever he was, wasn’t helping with all the questions he was asking

Ben laughed a little, “you know, he’ll flip shit if you tell him your pregnant and its his kid. Just warning you” he walked off inside, leaving the mysterious girl out their in the back as he walked off to go get Danny. “DANNY!” he screamed as he walked down the back halls looking for him before he finally found him talking to James about something, “sorry to interrupt guys, actually im not really sorry but Danny, theirs a girl out back for you”

Danny turned to face ben, “what does she want? Im not really down to sleep with any groupies tonight”

“I don’t know what she wants. She wouldn’t tell me anything other than its apparently important so then I came to look for you. but don’t worry, I already warned her that you will flip shit if she’s pregnant and its your kind”

Danny and James both laughed at Bens answer, “thanks mate. Way to scare her off. She probably just wants an autograph or something like that. No biggie” Danny put his cigarettes into his pocket before walking back down the hall to doors that led out into the back alley. Ben and James both followed, curious as to what it was she wanted to tell him. Why it was so important.

Jay stood their impatiently and nervous as she waited for the guy to come back out with Danny. She wondered what was going through his head as he went to find him. He probably thought she was some groupie or something like that. She laughed lightly at that before leaning up against the truck again and looked down at her feet for a moment before she heard doors open and voices come flooding into the alley. Her head shot up within a second as she recognized his voice. Her heart almost melted away and tears immediately sprung to her eyes as she looked at her big brother for the first time in two years, “D-da-danny?” she managed to choke out, fighting back tears.

Danny laughed at something ben had just said as he walked backwards down the hall, “suck my one inch dick!” he jokingly yelled, causing a few backstage people to stare and James laughed. “your only laughing James because your jelous and wish you had a one inch cock like mine but you don’t, do you” Danny joked before tripping out the back doors but managed to catch his balance and laughed.

“she was out here” Ben said confused, scratching the top of his head as he looked around to see where she had went. He turned to look behind him and finally spotted her standing against the black truck, looking down at the ground

“BEN YOU LIAR!” Danny almost jumped onto Bens back but stopped as he heard someone stutter, choke out his name almost as if they were about to cry. He looked around as he heard the familiar voice before his eyes landed on a girl with long brown hair, slightly wavy at the ends and a beret in her bangs. “J-Jay Jay?” he said in an almost whispered tone as he stood their frozen in his spot. ‘it cant be’ he thought to himself as he finally managed to move closer. Tears were brought to his eyes as he realized it really was Jayda and he began to run to her.

Jayda smiled and nodded her head, tears now spilling down her cheeks, “Its me” she cried as she ran to Danny, wrapping her arms and legs around him

Danny held his sister as the both of them spilled tears of joy.
