Three Cheers

"For you."

I got to the venue just as the doors opened. Busy was jumping up and down in her seat when we pulled up and I parked. She screamed out when we had passed the buses and she saw people coming out them; "That Frank?"

"I don't think so." I told her.

"We see him soon?" She asked.

"Yeah, baby doll." I dreaded seeing Frank.

Seeing Frank meant I more than likely will see Gerard. Then Gerard will see Busy.

I swallowed that all away, and got Busy from her seat and took her hand, leading her up to the venue. She had stopped me mid way, "Mommy, put necklace on!" I stopped and knelt down so she could put it on me. She smiled, "There!"

I got up and took her hand again, leading her through the doors. We went through security, then we were in the lobby, where kids were buying merchandise. "You want something?" I asked Busy.

"Lights!" She pointed at the glow sticks.

I picked her up so I wouldn't lose her and we waited in line to get her some glow sticks. As soon as we got to the counter I saw the t-shirts and I cringed at the sight of Gerard's face on some of them.

"Mommy, I want one of them!" She pointed to a shirt with a skeleton marching band on it.

"You sure?"

"Yes!"

I got to the front, "Give me one of those shirts and four glow sticks."

The guy nodded, getting Busy's size. I handed him the money and put her shirt in my bag, then I handed her the glow sticks. I carried her off into the concert hall. I handed the tickets to the security guard, "Ma'am, you're seats are upstairs in the VIP section."

I shook my head, "Okay, thanks." I muttered.

I turned towards the stairs and marched up them with Busy. She played with her glow sticks and by the time we got to the section, she was excited about seeing the band again. I handed the tickets to the security guy, "You can sit anywhere you like. Have a nice night."

"Thanks." I said to him.

I went inside and was shocked to see the section was quiet, almost like a one of those security boxes at Football stadiums. There were a few people in side, there was a glass window that was close to the stage, but you couldn't hear a thing.

I put Busy down, she ran to the window, "I no hear!" She cried to me.

I didn't have an answer, but a man came over, "There are seats right outside, you come over to this door."

Busy turned to the man, as did I; he wasn't tall, only a few inches taller than me, and he had shaggy hair.

"Thank you." I said to him.

"No problem." He sat down in one of the seats, "The sound also plays in a speaker in here too."

"See, Biz." I smiled at her, then I took her little coat off.

"Good! I see Frank."

The man laughed, "I assume she's the fan?"

"Yeah, major." I took mine off.

The man looked at my chest a moment, "Backstage passes?"

Busy jumped in the seat next to his, "Frank gave me."

The man looked at me for confirmation, "Uh, it's a long story."

"He's Mommy's friend." Busy whispered.

I shook my head with a laugh, "Thanks Biz."

"It's cool." He leaned over, "Frank's my friend too."

Busy's eyes lit up, "Really? I marry him!"

We both laughed, "Well, congratulations, Mrs. Iero." He stuck his hand out, "I'm Jon."

She shook it, "I'm Busy Bee!" She exclaimed.

He nodded, "Yeah, I've heard of you." Then he turned to me, "You must be October?"

I raised my brow, "How did you know?"

"You own Busy Bee's, right? Frank said you'd be here. Well, he hoped you be here."

I sat down beside Busy, "Yeah, Frank got his wish."

"How do you know Frank?" He asked casually.

"He's an old friend." I left it at that.

"Me too... We used to be in a band together."

"You're a much older friend than I am." I joked.

"Hey, I'm not that old." He smirked at me.

If I hadn't known better, I think he was flirting with me.

"Well, neither am I." I smirked back.

Busy hopped up when she the lights went low, "They on?" She asked.

"Not yet," Jon told her, "There's an opening band then MCR."

Busy huffed, "I want see Frank!"

"You will see him soon, sweetie."

"You guys want to go backstage?" Jon asked with a smile.

I cringed inwardly; Busy answered, "I see Frank?"

"Yep."

"Yes! I go!"

Busy took my hand and forced me to get up. I sighed, got up and took her hand. Jon led the way out, and we walked down a long hall. We came to stairs that had a sign that said; 'Dressing Rooms'.

I swallowed thickly as I helped Busy down the stairwell. Jon led the way; we got down to another hall, we passed one room labeled with something on the door, then Jon stopped at one door that read My Chemical Romance.

My heart sped up, I felt like I would vomit at any given moment. Jon opened the door; there was music playing and talking. Busy went through the door first, "Frank!"

All the talking stopped, I saw over Jon's shoulder that Frank picked up Busy, "Hey BB! I missed you!"

Jon came in, and I followed, keeping my head down; "Hey, I heard that's your new wife, Frankie."

Frank chuckled, "Well, we'll see what your mama has to say." He looked over at me, I had finally looked up, "Hey."

I felt everyone staring at me; I reluctantly saw Him. I saw Gerard. After 2 and half years, he was there, sitting in a corner with some girl on his lap. He looked at me and I at him. It was almost too awkward.

"Uh... I don't think so." I told Frank, "You aren't marrying my baby."

Busy huffed, "Mommy! I like Frank!" She wrapped her arms around his neck.

"Yeah, I like Busy too!" Frank whined.

"She's 2." I reminded him.

He frowned, "Shoot," he turned to Busy, "I love you, Biz, but I only marry girls over the age of 3."

She frowned back, "I'm not 2, then!"

He chuckled, "Okay. I'll make this one exception."

I rolled my eyes, "You're such a weirdo, Frank."

"I'm just messing with you." He came over to me, "Have a seat. You want anything?"

"Well, I'd like to go home. It's way past BB's bed time." I gave her a look, and she just smiled.

"She can sleep when she's old." Frank said, "Let her have fun."

"Why must I repeat myself? She's 2."

"So what? She's my fiancée, I say let her be free." Frank grinned at me.

I rolled my eyes, "Sure, but because she's been so excited to see you."

He set her down beside me, and he knelt down, "Really, B?"

She nodded, "I dress pretty for you." She stood and twirled in her dress.

Frank smiled, "Your dress is beautiful, Busy."

"Thank you." Her little cheeks turned a crimson color.

"You aren't gonna share, Frank?" I heard the familiar voice that belonged to Ray Toro, "Hey October."

"Hey, Ray," I stood up and hugged him quickly.

"This must be who Frank has been bragging about, Busy."

Busy looked at him, "Hi! I like your hair."

He chuckled, "Everyone does."

"I touch it?" She asked.

He knelt down and tilted his head her way. Busy giggled as she touched his hair, "Mommy feel!"

"Oh, I've felt it before, baby, believe me."

Ray stood up, then he turned, "You guys gonna say hi?"

Mikey, Gerard and his girlfriend looked at us. I looked down at Busy, who skipped past Frank and went to Mikey first, "Hi! I like the sparkles." She touched his bass, "I'm Busy."

Mikey couldn't deny her, he smiled, "I'm Mikey."

Busy turned towards Gerard now; God, my heart pounded crazily, "Hi!" Busy waved at them, "You marry?" She asked them.

The girl had this weird look on her face, "We will be  soon."

"What your name?" She played with her hands behind her back and danced on her feet.

"I'm Eliza, and this is Gerard."

Gerard was as white as a ghost. It matched his hair. Maybe it was the makeup he was wearing.

"Hi Gerd." Busy couldn't pronounce his name properly; my heart was going a mile a minute, "I like your hair too. Like Mommy's!" She pointed to me.

My hair was blonde, but nowhere near the white Gerard's was.

Me and Gerard had looked at each other then looked at Busy.

"Yeah." He muttered.

Busy bounced over to Frank and plopped herself in his lap. She began to talk to Frank about nonsense while I watched her. Frank is real good with her, he was happy to talk and play with her. Unlike her uncle and father who didn't even look at her again. Even Ray and Jon talked to us. Mikey and Gerard distanced themselves.

When they were to go on, I picked Busy up, "C'mon B, we'll see Frank in a bit."

Busy nodded, "Kay." She hugged Frank, "See you later." She waved.

Frank smiled, he looked genuinely happy, "I'll see you soon, Biz."

Jon and I left the room with Busy and returned to the VIP room to watch the show. I bought Busy some water and chips to hold her over. She was hungry, having to eat dinner early today. She sat in front of the window and watched the stage for the band. Jon and I talked casually, mostly about our jobs; he was running a few tattoo shops and didn't perform anymore.

He was a pretty nice guy.

But, I didn't pay him much attention when MCR came on. Busy had grabbed my hand, she was telling me they were on. She pressed up against the glass, the speakers turned on, the crowd screamed, and some opening guitars began. I actually remembered the song; it was an old one, Helena, it had just came out when Gerard and I divorced. Busy didn't know it, but it didn't stop her from dancing.

Throughout the show I talked with Jon, he was really nice; I kinda liked him. I wasn't trying anything though, believe me. I kept my eyes on Busy, she was getting pretty tired by the time the concert was over. I picked her up, and I was gonna sneak her to the car, but she said she wanted to see Frank.

"Please, I see Frank." She yawned.

"Okay, B."

I followed Jon by down to the dressing rooms, and the guys were coming in; minus Gerard and Mikey, thank God.

Frank smiled when he saw me; he wiped the sweat from his face, "Hey, she tired?"

"She danced the entire time." I told him.

"Aw, did you, B?" Frank cooed to her.

She nodded, "For you."

Frank grinned, "Can I hold her?"

I nodded and handed her off to him. Frank was putty once Busy wrapped her arms around his neck  and rested her head on his shoulder. I smiled; I wished that Frank could be her dad.

"I stay with you?" Busy asked him.

"Sorry, kiddo. But, tomorrow I can come hang out with you. You want to do that?"

She hummed and nodded.

"So I have to see you tomorrow?" I asked while crossing my arms.

Frank grinned, "Yep. You love me."

"Busy loves you." I told him.

"And I love her." He kissed the top of her head.

Frank was doing all the things Gerard should be.

"We gotta go. She's pooped out."

Frank nodded, "Here you go." He handed her off to me, "I'll see you B."

She waved tired, "Bye-Bye, Frank."

I waved to Jon and Ray, and headed out the door. Just as I did, I came face to face with Gerard. I quickly maneuvered around him, adverting my eyes and went towards the exit.

Just as I was about to open the door, I noticed I forgot my bag. I groaned, "Shit." I mumbled.

"Mommy." Busy warned me sleepily.

"I forgot my bag, B." I turned around and went towards the stairs.

I went back to the VIP section and went to our seats, grabbing my bag. I sighed, placing it on my other arm and quickly left. I jogged back down the stairs, I felt Busy snoozing against my neck, prompting me to hurry towards the exit and to get her home. Just as I went towards it, a familiar palm pulled my arm back.
