Three Cheers

"Oh wow. That's messed up."

Busy helped me pack her a little bag while she stayed with the guys. She got her color crayons and her favorite stuffed animal and some pajamas. Gerard looked around her room, checking things out, while I got her bag zipped.

"Thank you!" Busy sang once I gave her, her little bag.

She ran from her room, calling for Frank this time. Gerard was still in her room, with me, and he was looking at the pictures on her dresser. I watched him, again, wondering what he was thinking.

"What's her middle name?" He asked.

"Marie. Busy Marie." I told him.

"Where did Busy Bee come from?" He still looked at the pictures, not at me.

"Well, when I opened the store, there was a bakery down the street called B. Marie's. So, I decided to call mine Busy Bee."

Gerard hummed a laugh, "Why did you sell Merci?"

"I wanted to get rid of you." I told him.

He finally looked at me, "Oh."

"Have fun with Busy tonight." I said quickly.

"I'm sure I will. The kid makes me laugh."

"She's a riot." I laughed softly.

"You do an amazing job raising her."

"I know." I smirked.

"Don't get cocky."

"I am and I will."

Gerard chuckled, "You want us to keep her overnight?"

"I'll pick her up if she wants." I told him.

"Yeah, okay." He licked his lips, watching me as I got my clothes, "I'll let you get dressed. I hope you have a nice night."

I gave him a small smile, "Thanks."

He waved, then headed out of my room.

Gerard definitely made my head hurt, along with making my heart too. I didn't know how to feel about him; I didn't know if I loved him or just had a nice liking feeling for him. I know if things between us could ever be salvaged; he's also in love with someone else.

I know I would always have some love for Gerard. He was my first love, he and I shared a lot of wonderful things together. I don't think I could every really wipe him from my memory for forget about him.

As I put my makeup on, I tried not to think about him. I tried to think about maybe having something with Jon. No, I wasn't think of marriage or future children, I thought about maybe having a relationship with him.

My heart raced once I finished my make up and dressed. Busy came into my room a few minutes later, I was putting my shoes on.

"We leaves mommy." She came over to me, "Wow mommy. Yous beautiful."

I smiled, "Thank you B." I kissed her forehead, "You be a good girl for the guys, okay? Do you want me to pick you up?"

She hummed, thinking, "Hmm... No. I stays with Daddy."

I nodded, "If you want to come home, tell them to call me, I'll drop everything and come get you."

Busy giggled, "You breaks everything!"

I shook my head, "Figure of speech, baby doll." I kissed her quickly, "I love you."

"Love you." She twirled around and went to Gerard, who was standing by the threshold.

He picked her up, "Wow, October."

"Yeah, I look amazing, what else is new?" I teased.

"You look amazing."

"Thank you." I winked at him. "Now, please take care of my baby doll."

"I will, don't worry. She's in great hands, Sugar."

"Have fun, guys. Don't forget to call me if she wants to come home."

Gerard nodded, "Will do. See you."

I waved, "Bye bye, baby."

"Bye mama." Busy blew me a kiss and I caught it for her.

I smiled as they left my room; I heard the guys leaving, yelling me a goodbye. I yelled one back, shaking my head.

Jon had picked me up right on time, he looked really handsome in his attire; a black button up and worn jeans. I smiled at him once we met outside.

"Shit, wow you look good." He said with a soft laugh.

"Thanks. You aren't too shabby yourself." I told him.

"Thanks, I try and clean up when a pretty girl let's me take them out... Which is rarely ever."

"Doubt that, you're pretty charming."

He snorted, "I'm still the giant nerd from high school."

"We all are what we used to be. Cycle of life, my friend."

"Pretty and witty." Jon took my hand, "I am one lucky SOB."

I rolled my eyes playfully, "We'll see, buddy."

We got into his car, I fiddled with my pocketbook a moment, feeling suddenly nervous. I don't know what it was, I hadn't felt this nervous in a long time.

"So," Jon started as he began to drive, "How did you meet Frank? I don't ever remember you from high school or Jersey."

I shook my head, "I'm not from Jersey. I used to be married to Gerard."

Jon laughed, "No shit?"

"No shit." I giggled.

"Wow, I can't believe it. How did he let you get away?"

"We had some disagreements." I answered softly.

"Yeah, I understand... Shit happens." He cleared his throat, "So, he's Busy's dad?"

"Yep."

Jon looked at me a moment, "Hey, you won't be upset if I like talk to you a minute about his fiancée, do you?"

"Eliza? Why?"

Jon licked his lips, "I just thought you of all people should know since you and Gerard have a baby together."

"What is it?"

"That Eliza chick is nuts. She's like a celebrity stalker, and she's pulled that "I'm pregnant, marry me" card with a bunch of other dudes in LA. I don't know if she's pulled it with Gerard yet."

"So, you don't think she's could be pregnant?"

"No way. She can't. It's like a known fact, for the dudes in LA at least."

My jaw slacked, "Oh wow. That's messed up."

"I thought I should tell you, cause you know Gerard. I wouldn't want him to suffer."

"Yeah, I get what you mean." I muttered quietly.

As Jon and I continued to talk, not about Gerard and Eliza, I couldn't help but let my mind wonder. It made me sick that she was probably playing with Gerard's emotions and his trust. Why exactly would she pull a stunt like this on men?

I didn't understand it, and I hated myself for letting it consume my mind. But, even as it did, I didn't think I could tell Gerard. For one, Gerard wouldn't believe me. He'd think I was trying to break them up, when really I'd be trying to protect him. I decided then that I wouldn't tell him, the truth would come to light eventually; unless I told one of the guys.

I waved it from my head long enough to appreciate the movie then dinner with Jon. He was such a sweet and kind guy. We had a lot of things in common and we could actually talk about a lot of different things. He certaintly wasn't Gerard, but he was someone totally different that I could see myself hanging out with.

By the end of the night, we had talked until we ran out of things to talk about. We had spoken about jobs, music, movies, friends, kids, art and then clothes.

"How did you get that started?" He had asked as we ate desert.

"I got a BA in fashion and designing at NYU, then I started my own boutique and clothing line. I sold it, then started all over when I moved here. I chose to do children's clothes because they're a lot faster to sow and design."

"Busy must love it."

"She sure does, she's my little model."

"You must do pretty well, Frank speaks highly of you."

I smirked, "Frank is a little weirdo."

He laughed, "Yeah, I know."

We left at a little after 11; he drove me home, we sat in comfortable since until we got to my house. I tugged at my bottom lip as I prepared to get out. He beat me to it, coming around my side as soon as he got out and opened the door for me.

"Oh, thank you." I spoke softly.

He walked me to my door, "Just bein' a gentleman."

"Well, you're quite the gentleman." I smiled, "I had a really nice time."

"I'm glad I could give you a nice time."

We stood silent a moment. That's when he moved in to kiss my cheek. I blushed, not knowing what to say.

"Can we do this again?" He asked.

I modded quickly, "Yes."

He smiled, "I'll call you."

"I'll be waiting." I countered softly.

"See ya, October."

"Bye Jon." I waved as he began to walk back to his car.

I got inside before I started to squeal like an idiot.
