Unforgettable Charm

I couldn't focus on anything. Today I was shooting scenes with Josh and I couldn't get my head in the zone. My mind couldn't stop running and I couldn't focus on one damn thing. I couldn't stop thinking about the advice Dianna had given me at dinner. I wanted to grow closer to Josh I really did, but I was also a little scared to let myself do that. Right now, all I had was a simple crush, if I got to know him it would probably develop into something more.

Dianna had said that if I did end up getting real feelings for him that it could help with portraying our characters better. That was the upside, but that still didn't put my kind at ease. I still wasn't sure what I wanted exactly, and I hated that. I decided that maybe I should just see where things go. I would make light conversation whenever we talked, and if we started to become actual friends, then just see where it goes. I was taking a risk, but I knew that I had to do it sometime.

Right now we were at the studio that was funding the film. Their were a bunch of sets, and Josh and I were going to be shooting a scene in a restaurant. It was an actual restaurant, it was built specifically for films. As I was reading through the scene, Greg came up to me.

"Okay, so what I want you to do is act like you're out with your best friend. Having a good time, laughing, smiling, but I also want you to flirt. At least, act flirty. Look at him as if you're starting to fall in love with him. You guys can talk about whatever you want just do those things for me."

"You got it," I told him.

I saw Josh and Greg walked over to him. I assumed he was telling him the same thing he told me. I decided to get ready and went to where I was supposed to sit and sat down as people made sure my hair and makeup were camera ready. As they finished, Josh came over and they started to work on him.

"Hey Josh," I said smiling.

"Hey Katie," He said smiling back at me.

"So what should we talk about while we do this?"

"I'm not sure, how about you tell me a story?" He suggested.

"Okay guys," Greg started saying. "You ready?"

"Ready," We both said.

Greg yelled out action and I decided to tell him an embarrassing story. I leaned forward in my chair and he did the same. He was already smiling at me, and I was smiling back.

"So one time I was at the mall shopping."

"Oh, is that what the mall is for?" Josh asked sarcastically, smiling.

"Shut up," I said laughing., I then picked up a french fry from my plate that was set in front of me and threw it at him. It hit him right on the forehead and Josh laughed.

"No you didn't."

"Yes, I did."

"Oh its war now." Josh picked up a fry and threw it at me and hit it hit my cheek.

"It's on!" I picked up some fries and threw it at him as he kept throwing fries my way. I couldn't help but laugh hysterically as we threw our fries at one another. Once all the fries were everywhere but our plates, Greg yelled cut. He only called cut in order for the crew to clean up the fries and to clean us up a little; I even had some fries in my hair.

"You better watch it, Jansen," Josh said teasingly.

"I'm so scared," I said sarcastically, but smiling.
Once we were camera ready, Greg called action and we got back to shooting.

"Can I finish my story now?" I asked chuckling.

"Yes, yes go on," Josh said grinning and leaning forward in his chair.

"Okay, so while I was shopping I decided to leave the store I was in and go to another. I was heading out, and I wasn't exactly paying attention to where I was going."

"Oh no, I know where this is going," Josh said shaking his head smiling.

I laughed and continued with my story. "I was going through my purse to get something, and I ran into the clear glass that was next to the exit."

Josh started laughing, "No way."

"Yes, and that's not even the end of it. When I ran into it, my forehead hit it first and I actually fell backwards straight onto my back," I said, laughing with him now. "And then,"

"Oh God there's more?" He asked, hysterically laughing.

"Yes," I said laughing. People in the store came over to check if I was okay. And while I was trying to get up, my crush came over as well. He told me he saw me go down and wanted to see if I was okay. It was so awful." I said laughing and covering my eyes with my hand, embarrassed.

Josh was laughing with me, more like at me. "That was too funny. Oh man, that must've been the worst thing ever."

"I was so embarrassed, I couldn't believe that he saw everything. But hey, makes a great story."

"Yeah, it does. Figures your forehead hit the glass first though, thing is huge."

"Hey!" I said laughing. "It's not that big," I covered it with my hand, but couldn't help but smile.

"Okay, okay it's not a big forehead, it's a very cute forehead."

I lowered my hand from my forehead. "Well, you have a very cute forehead as well."

"Thank you."

"You are very welcome."

Josh just looked at me and gave me a small smile and I did the same. We continued to just stare at each other for just a moment with tiny smiles on our faces before Greg called cut.

"Time for the next scene. Josh and Katie go over to wardrobe to get ready," Greg told us.

Josh and I got up from our seats and grades over to wardrobe together.

"That was fun," Josh said smiling.

"Yeah, it was."

"I almost forgot we were supposed to be acting," he told me.

"Really?" I asked in surprise. "Same with me."

"Maybe that means we should actually hang out sometime."

"Yeah, maybe we should," I said smiling at him.

We went over to wardrobe and got changed, then went to hair and makeup for touchups. Once we were done we went back to the set. For this scene we would be shopping together.

"To start off we're going to take some shots of you two walking together trying to figure out which stores to go to. Josh," Greg turned to Josh. "As you guys are walking I want you to take Katie's hand and start walking fast and pull her along with you, okay?"

"Yeah, that works."

Josh and I got into place and Greg called action. We started walking down the sidewalk and Josh was trying to talk me into going into stores but I kept denying them all. Then Josh pointed to a store up ahead and grabbed my hand and dragged me behind him. Even thoug we were only acting, I couldn't help but like the fact that he was holding my hand. Greg shouted cut and then he told me to jump on Josh's back as we walked.

"You ready, Josh?" I asked as I prepared to jump on his back.

"Yeah, go for it."

I took a running start and then jumped on his back. Josh caught my legs under his arms and hoisted me onto his back. I couldn't stop myself from starting to laugh a little.

"I like this," I said laughing.

"I bet," Josh said chuckling.

Greg yelled action and Josh started walking with me on his back. I started pointing at stores we could go into and the smile on my face never left. I loved the fact that he was carrying me and my arms were around his shoulders. We went on like this for a few minutes before Greg called cut.

We had one more scene to shoot and then we would be done for the day. We had to shoot a scene where I was trying on clothes and basically modeling them for Josh. We went to where we would be shooting the scene and got right to work. I started changing into the outfits that were given to me and modeled for Josh. Josh was supposed to act disinterested on what I was trying on until we got to one outfit. It was a cheetah print dress that was a little shorter than I liked it to be, it was tight fitting and had a black belt around the waist and was a little low cut. It showed more skin then I liked, but it was what I was supposed to wear.

I stepped out of the dressing room to show it to Josh and his eyes nearly popped out of his eyes. He looked at me up and down and nodded his head yes, saying I should buy the dress. I only laughed st him then pulled the dressing room curtain shut. After that we were done for the day and once I was changed out of the dress Josh came over to me.

"Well, I think today was a pretty good day of shooting.

"Yeah, I think so too."

"Hey so I was just wondering, I know you haven't been here long, but I wanted to know if you wanted to hang out this weekend? I mean, I'd like to show you around L.A. and whatnot, if you're up for it."

I grinned. "Yeah, I'm up for it."

Josh grinned. "Great! So how about tomorrow around twelve?"

"Sounds good." We quickly exchanged numbers. "I'll see you
tomorrow."

"Can't wait," Josh said to me as he walked off.

I was excited to hang out with Josh tomorrow. And today wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. I know that we were only acting most of the time, but I had fun talking with him, throwing fries at him and even modeling clothes for him. We did our own thing most of the time and it wasn't complete acting. If I had that much fun with him while filming, I could only imagine that I would have ten times more fun with him off set. Tomorrow would be great, and I couldn't wait to see him.
