In Darkness

Frances Janes didn't believe in love. She thought it was bullshit. She didn't believe in love because of her parents' separation, and she had been nothing but apathetic about it all. After their separation, Frances decided to stay with her mom, thinking that it would do her good, but it wasn't that fun living with a 43-year-old grumpy separated woman in Idaho, so when Fran's mom told her she'd let her stay in Arizona with her father for summer, Fran couldn't contain her joy. During her stay there, she spent more time with her outrageously awesome father, made really great friends, spilled coffee over her dog, and found love in an ungodly hour. Fran's life was changed by a seemingly hopeless band bass player, Garrett Daniel Nickelsen.
