Maybe it was the roar of the engine that put that feeling in all our stomachs. We all admitted it; something about this night would be life changing. Maybe it was the familiar music gently playing in the background that kept our conversation flowing. We all had something different to say, but we all listened. Maybe it was the sight of the water surrounding us that put the glisten in our eyes. We could all feel the magic; every single one of us would remember this night.
Thirteen people, two tables, one school, one boat, one night.
The boat jerked and the engine roared, I turned around to see the dock shrinking in the distance.
