Parental Control

“Okay, so here’s the deal. My parents can’t stand my boyfriend, Tony, so they each set me up with another date. My mom’s choice is first and I can’t wait to see who she chose.” Ashley said.

The date Ashley mom chose is about to arrive.

“Kid, you are so out of here!” Matt said.

“Please. We all know Ashley will make the right choice in the end.” Tony said.

“Yeah when you step out that door for good!” Laura said and Matt laughed.

Then the doorbell rang.

“That’s my guy.” Laura said and went to answer the door. “Hi, Andrew.” She said

“Hey, how’s it going?” Andrew asked.

“I chose Andrew because he’s a down to Earth guy and the opposite of Tony.” Laura said.

“Andrew, you remember Matt.” She said.

“Nice to see you again.” Andrew said.

“This is our lovely daughter, Ashley.”

“Nice to meet you.” Andrew said.

“Nice to meet you too.” Ashley said.

“That’s her idiot boyfriend.” She said.

“When I first saw Andrew the first thing I thought was ‘what a suck up!’ Quit the nice act,
Andrew.” Tony said.

“So are you ready to go?” Andrew asked Ashley.

“Yeah.” Ashley said.

“When I first saw Andrew I couldn’t believe how cute he was. I can’t wait to see what our
date’s going to be like.” Ashley said.

“I wouldn’t get too comfortable if I were you, Tony. You’re out of here soon.” Matt said.

“I don’t think so.” Tony said with his arms crossed as Laura turned on the TV.

“So I thought today we could design our own tattoos.” Andrew said as he led Ashley to the
tattoo parlor.

“Sounds like fun.” Ashley said.

“Do you see what this punk's doing? He’s going to give your daughter a tattoo!” Tony said.

“At least he’s not making her do some jackass stunt!” Matt said.

“Alright so we got our colored pencils and sketch paper all ready to go.” Andrew said.

“Cool.” Ashley as the two of them drew out their tattoos.

“Wow, that’s really cool.” He said.

“Thanks. Your design is cool too.” She said.

“You see that, he’s complimenting her. Something I don’t see you do.” Laura said to Tony.

“He’s just sucking up!” Tony said.

“He is not. Pay attention closely, you can learn something!” Matt said.

“Yeah like how to be a suck up!” Tony said.

“Jackass.” Laura whispered.

“Alright so we can take these to my man, Chris, and he can print these out for us and make
them temporary tattoos.” Andrew said.

“Sounds awesome.” Ashley said.

After the two of them gave in their designs, Andrew led them to the back lounge type area for
food and drinks.

“So do you work at a tattoo parlor?” Ashley asked as they ate.

“Yeah, I work at this one. I don’t do any tattooing yet though. I just set up the appointments
and work at the front desk.” Andrew said.

“Do you want to become a tattoo artist?” She asked.

“Yeah, once I turn eighteen Chris is going to start teaching me.” Andrew said.

“Cool.” Ashley said.

“So what’s the deal with Tony?” He asked.

“My parents can’t stand him. They think he parties too much and he's kind of on the
controlling side.” She said.

“Oh! You heard that, right?” Matt asked.

“I don’t know what she’s talking about. When have I been controlling?” Tony asked.

“How about when you force her to stay out and party all night?” Laura asked.

“She has fun so how cares?!” Tony asked as Matt glared at him.

“Controlling and a partier?” Andrew asked.

“Yeah and he likes to perform stunts. He sometimes gets me to do them too.” Ashley said.

“Sounds like Tony is really in tune with his wild side.” He said.

“He is kind of on the wild side. My parents say he’s too wild for his and my own good.” She
said.

“You hear that, Tony?” Laura asked.

“Whatever.” Tony mumbled.

After Andrew and Ashley ate, they picked up their tattoos.

“Wow, that’s so cool.” Ashley said.

“Well I guess I should get you back to your parents and…what’s his name?” Andrew asked
and Ashley laughed.

“Alright.” Ashley said.

“That’s how you treat a girl, Tony.” Laura said and Matt agreed.

“I’m back.” Ashley called out.

“Hey, Ash. How was the date?” Matt asked.

“Awesome.” Ashley said. “He was really sweet.” She said.

“That guy was a class A suck up!” Tony said.

“He was not!” She defended.

“So I just got back from my date with Andrew. We made and designed our own tattoos. It
was a lot of fun and he was really sweet. My dad’s pick is next and I’m really interested to
see who he picked.” Ashley said.
