‹ Prequel: Have You Seen This Girl?
Status: In Progress
Two Kids, Stupid and Fearless.
I can't breathe, my body's shaking.
Anna’s POV-
"We only have six months before the wedding." I stressed, while I paced my living room floor.
"Exactly, you have six months." Cara pointed out. "You have time, relax."
"I know, but it's happening so fast. I just feel so overwhelmed."
"Sit down, please." Paula said, grabbing my wrist, and pulling me down, next to her.
I rested my head back on the couch, and closed my eyes. Jack and I have been engaged, for a little over a year. We have been trying to take things slow, and not rush in to marriage, yet. Just last month Jack and I set our wedding date. We will be officially a married couple on August 8th.
"So, what color flowers were you thinking about?" My wedding planner (aka- Paula) asked me.
"Hmm," I thought, placing my hand on my chin. "Blue and yellow."
"Very pretty." Paula gushed, while she scribbled in her notebook. "Are those your wedding colors?"
"Yes." I nodded.
"Where do you want the wedding?"
"The beach, for sure." I smiled to myself, while I thought about the wedding.
"Oh my gosh, it's going to be flawless." Paula said.
Just then, Delaney waltzed in. "Hey girls." She greeted.
"Hey Laney." I said to her.
"What are you guys up to?" She asked.
"Wedding stuff." Cara chimed in.
"Have you and Jack discussed the wedding much?" Delaney asked, taking a seat next to Paula.
"Every now and then." I stated. Jack has been on tour, for the past month and a half, so I’m pretty much planning the wedding on my own.
"So, here's the big question," Delaney started. "Who is going to be your maid of honor?"
All of a sudden, the room went dead silent. Paula, Cara, and Delaney’s eyes were all glued to me.
"Um," I began. "I don't know, yet. I was thinking I could just have all of you as my maids of honor."
They continued to stare at me, but now they were smiling. "Awe, Anna!" Cara cried out.
"Yes, that's perfect." Paula said.
"I agree, having all of us would be best." Delaney smiled.
"Great," I breathed, feeling relieved. "Well, can we continue planning tomorrow? I'm beat."
"Yeah, no problem." Paula said, closing her notebook.
"Rest up. We have a lot of planning to do, still." Cara said, grabbing her purse from the couch, and hitching it over her shoulder.

I was ready to crash, so I headed upstairs to my room. I glanced out the window; the sky was dark gray. Rain clouds completely covered the Maryland sky, as I climbed on the bench in front of the window. I propped my head against the window, and pulled my legs up to my chest. I watched the raindrops slide down, over, and over. I almost fell asleep like that, until I heard the front door open. I sat up, and hopped off the bench. I tip toed across the hardwood floor, and quietly opened my bedroom door. No one should be here; the girls already left, and Jack was going to be on tour for another three days. I didn't have anything to use as a "weapon" incase I was in any danger. I grabbed a bottle of perfume off the dressers, and snuck out the door.
I crept down the stairs, and slowly approached the front room. I saw a shadow figure appear, and started my way. I let out a startled scream and pressed down on the perfume nozzle. A cloud of perfume floated through the air. The person in front of me started screaming, until it turned into coughing. "Whoa!" He choked out.
After a minute, I recognized the voice, and his silhouette.
It was Jack.
I sighed, and shooed the cloud of perfume away. "Oh my god." I shouted. "I am so sorry, Jack."
He pulled me into our kitchen, and started laughing. "It's okay. I didn't mean to scare you."
"I didn't know it was you. I didn't know you were suppose to be home."
"It was going to be a surprise, but I probably should have told you."
"Maybe. Then you wouldn't smell like, cinnamon apple." I said, while I read the front of the perfume bottle.
Jack took big whiff of the air. "Well, at least I smell pretty good."
"A little too good." I said, waving my hand in front of my face. "Maybe you should take a quick shower, before bed?"
"That's probably a good idea." He said, and then gave me a sneaky look. "Care to join me?"
I rolled my eyes, and nudged him away.
"Oh come on. Haven't you missed me?" He pouted, sticking out his bottom lip.
I shook my head, laughing a little. "Lets get upstairs."
