Even if it Kills Me

Ikuto and Kameko (as well as one of the two thugs) were caught and sent to prison for drugs, kidnapping, and attempted murder. The GazettE and their families never heard from them, again.

------- One Year Later---------

"What's up, Tokyo!" Ruki shouted into the microphone, greeting the pepped up crowd. The crowd responded with a chorus of cheers and applause.

I was backstage with Miyavi, waiting for the concert to begin. But, something was different this time.

"Now, before we begin, our rhythm guitarist has something he would like to say." Ruki announced, gesturing toward Aoi.

I furrowed my brow in slight confusion. Did they change the show?

Miyavi only smiled. Did he know what was going on?

I watched as Aoi adjusted his mic stand, preparing to do whatever it was he was going to do.

"Hello, everybody! Are you having a good night?" he greeted. The crowd responded with a thunderous roar.

Aoi smiled, and continued. "There's a very special girl here with me tonight, and I would like you to meet her."

I heard several girls squeal, and I felt my own heartbeat quicken.

"Haruka, would you join me here on stage?" he asked. The crowd cheered. Some even called my name.

I looked at Miyavi. He gave me a dorky thumbs up. he obviously knew something was going on.

I took a deep breath, and headed towards Aoi's outstretched hand.

As he took my hand in his, I heard a few awwws from the crowd.

"Haruka," he started. "cousin to Uruha, holds the key to my heart. And I want everybody to know it. I could scream it to the world! She's the most beautiful girl I've ever met and she's the only one I'll ever want for as long as I'll live. So that's why I brought her here. To show her off, and to ask her a very important question."

He took my hand, and got down upon one knee.

OH. MY.GOD.

The crowd was ecstatic.

"Haruka," Aoi said, pulling a ring from his pocket. "Will you marry me?"

The crowd screamed and cheered.

My eyes watered.

My voice almost failed me as I answered.

"Yes. I will marry you, Aoi."

The crowd went absolutely nuts as Aoi grinned, and slipped the ring onto my ring finger. It was a perfect fit.

"I love you," Aoi told me, in front of the thousands of fans, while wiping away the happy tears that had fallen upon my cheeks.

"I love you, too." I replied, confidently. And I meant it.

Aoi finally released me.

"I'll be waiting for you after the show," I told him.

He smiled and said, "I'll see you soon, love ."

Then, he whispered what only I could hear, "Even if it kills me."
