Civil Courage

Guilty

"I fight for my freedom. I fight for my family. I fight for my wife and I fight for my children. Sometimes I find eyes that follow me, judging and picking at what I've done. I cannot undo the past, and I shall never wish to. Who would I be to my children if I succumbed to everything that greed has corrupted? I wouldn't be their father, their brave and wonderful father. I'd be a mindless follower, and that, Sir, is not what I am. But for that I am guilty in your eyes. And I do not regret it."
