It All Started With A Smile

I was so excited. I don't know why. I mean, why should I still be excited? I hang out with these guys a lot now. Maybe because it was Garrett who asked me? I don't know. Well, I just hope this turns out to be well.

We headed straight to the theater after getting ready. While waiting for the guys, we got some popcorn and drinks. I overheard Patricia talking to someone on the phone while Russell and Josh were at one corner talking. Sometimes, I think these two guys have some kind of bromance. Hmm, Josell maybe? I laughed at the thought of it. As soon as Patricia got off the phone, she approached us and said that the guys were on their way.
"Who were you talking to on the phone?" I asked.
"Oh, I was talking to Kennedy", Patricia replied.
"Mhmm" I said with a smug.

Right at that moment, I saw Garrett and Pat walking over to us and talking to each other. I bet it was something quite serious because of the look in their faces. Their expression changed at the moment they were standing in front of us.

"Hey guys. So did you buy tickets already or not?", Pat asked.
"Oh not yet. Do you want to buy now or will we still wait for the others?" Patricia asked.
"Oh come on then. Let's buy tickets. We'll be right back", he said while walking to the ticket booth.

It was kind of awkward because I was left alone with Garrett since Josh and Russell were still in one corner talking. Instead of just standing there like a fool, I broke the silence between us.
"Hey," I said.
"Hi" Garrett replied.
"So what movie are we gonna watch, exactly?" I asked.
"Uh I think were gonna watch some action movie. I don't really know." he replied.
Pat and Patricia were walking over to us when I was going to say something to Garrett. Well, I guess I shouldn't tell him right now yet.
"9 tickets to The Avengers!" Pat said.
"Oh cool!" I said.
"Where are Kennedy, Jared and John? The movie's starting in 15 minutes" Patricia said.
"I don't really know," Garrett said, quite distracted, I guess.

We stood there for about 5 minutes then we finally saw them in the view.
"Oh, finally" Patricia said with a tone of relief in her voice.
"Sorry for the delay," John said.
"Yeah it's okay. Well let's go in now. The movie's about to start" I said.
"HEY JOSH AND RUSSELL, ARE YOU GUYS COMING OR WHAT?" Kennedy said.
"Coming! Wait for us!" Josh said while running.
"I really think they have some kind of bromance," Patricia said.
"Can you really read my mind?" I said before laughing.
"No. I don't know. They look like they have something" she said.

Our "seating arrangement" inside the theater was kind of amusing. We occupied one row, alright. Pat-Garrett-Me-John-Jared-Kennedy-Patricia-Josh-Russell. Hmm, quite amusing, right? I wanted to lean on Garrett the whole time, but he seemed to have gotten ahead of me. Oh, you know what I mean with that. I don't have to tell you anymore. I think Patricia fell asleep because her head was rested on Kennedy's shoulder and her eyes were closed. I'd have to say this is probably one of the best nights ever.

The Avengers lasted for about 2 hours. We headed straight to the party right after. I didn't really know who's party this was. I guess I didn't even need to know cause I'll meet more people.

We arrived at the party at around 8.30pm. We were greeted by a guy named Halvo and he was pretty nice. It was a fun night. Oh of course I only drank one bottle.

"So are you guys having fun?" Halvo asked as he approached us.
"Oh yeah." I said.
It was definitely a fun party. The bands played, we played too. Their friends were there too and I met a lot of new friends. Arizona is probably my favorite place now.

I walked over to Josh and Russell who were still together.
"Do you guys have some kind of bromance or something?" I asked feeling a little dizzy.
"No," Josh replied who was still sober.
"Yeah we do. Right Joooooooosh?" Russell said who was probably drunk.
"Seriously?" I said.
"YEAH DIDN'T YOU HEAR WHAT I JUST SAAAAAAAID" Russell said.

Right at that moment, a girl named Falyn entered the party and walked straight to Garrett and gave him a hug. Who is this girl? I don't know her! What is she doing with Garrett? Why is she with Garrett? Are they together or something? This curiosity is just killing me so I walked over to Pat and asked him.

His answer crushed my heart into a billion pieces.

Every single word he said.

It hurts too much.

Garrett and Falyn are dating.
