The Black Satain Dragon Ninja Assassin
Stolen Memories
Thump! Thump! Thump!
Her quick heart beats pounded in her ear as she raced through the under ground tunnels. Silent, padded feet echoed softly through the room, almost unhearable. Quick, sharp breaths were heard echoing through out the rock solid corridors. Although her face remained emotionless, she was really panicking.
Struggling to beat time, she ran faster. Her legs were aching from running the last 3 to 4 miles straight without stopping, and now bordering 5. Only one thought ran through her head as she pushed herself to limits she’s never before reached before.
Shasuimaru
The darkened skies surrounded her, as if it were going to wrap around her and suffocate her. But she still ran. Just up ahead she saw the wooden doors that could possibly seal Shasuimaru’s fate.
Her mind went blank as she saw the two guards that were standing by the wooden doorway. Their short kimonos and hakamas fluttered as they pulled out their swords as lightening fast speeds. But not fast enough.
She dodged the first attack from the guy on the right by jumping out and out stretching her leg in one swift round movement, knocking him to the ground. While still in the air, she did a fast spin and out stretched her left leg while sliding down and turning, knocking it into the left guy’s right leg and pulling it forward, causing him to fall backwards. Already one step ahead, she had her sword out and ready as he fell onto it and, unluckily, punctured his heart.
Gripping the sword, she pulled it to her left and watched as the guy fell to the ground lifeless in a puddle of blood with a slit stretching from his heart to his left arm. She stood up and walked past the other guy, just now getting up and swung her sword through his head, cutting it in half as she walked up to the wooden gate.
Still breathing hard, she examined it. 3 metal buckles holding it closed in the middle. All of a sudden the ground shook as the ceiling started to come down in small chunks, reminding her of how much time she had left. She ran up to the door and kicked the top buckle with all of her strength. But that was only enough to slightly dent the small piece of metal. She raised her foot again, kicking it over and over and over, only slightly denting it.
After 5 more tries the piece of shit metal fell to the ground and she started to kick the next one. The ground started to shake again, slowly and more furiously, messing her up a couple of times. Kicking again, she almost fell as the ground started to shake furiously and this time, didn’t stop. Her eyes widened as that middle piece finally fell off and she started on the next and last one.
Shaking so bad that she lost her balance, she realized it wasn’t her that was shaking, it was the ground. Going into panic mode, she started to kick faster and harder. The area around the door started to get hot. So ho that she even burned herself. Not caring, she kept going. With one ground splitting shake, she was reminded…that she was now too late.
She started to hear faint crying sounds and mumbles. Straining her tired ears, she listened. All she heard was sobbing noises until the sound of her name caught her ears. Her eyes widened.
“Shasuimaru!”
She briefly heard the crying stop until it suddenly started up again, only louder.
“Sis? SIS! SIS! HELP ME!” Her breathing hitched again and ten started to go faster. Her little brother was in there. But is he safe, she thought. There was only one way to find out.
She pushed herself off the door she found herself leaning on and started kicking the damned metal bar. It was about to break, she knew it. Or she desperately hoped so. The shaking was almost unbearable and sickening.
“SIS? SIS? SISTER?!”
“HOLD ON! I’M GOING TO GET YOU OUT!”
“TIS? TIS? TISTUR?”
She paused for a moment. Was it…Was that? No! It couldn’t be…Could it?
“Chaiyue? CHAIYUE!”
“TISTUR…” The sobs started back up and she kicked harder as the door got harder. Her foot was already red and swollen and felt like it was on fire.
A huge rumbling sound caused her to look behind her over her shoulder. The ceiling was clasping. Everything around her was clasping. The door was heating up by the minute and she thought her foot was going to fall off. Something was causing the door to heat up, but what?
She got her answer when she heard blood curling screams behind the door.
“SISTER! SSSIIISSSTTTEEERRR!”
She kicked the metal bar one last time with all of her might and it broke off…but it was too late. A huge BOOM echoed through the halls and behind the doors sending them off their hinges and flying backwards as fire spread everywhere like a huge tidal wave.
She dodged it all and ran in, looking, desperately, everywhere for them, when she found them, laying together tied in ropes and chains and, unfortunately,…burning in the flames.
She found herself stiff and unable to move, like everything froze in time, including her. The whole world froze around her as she just stood there like a statue in between the flames.
The pain she would normally feel just melted away along with her fear of what would happen…because it already has. She dropped to her knees by the 2 kids. Twins. They were twins.
Chaiyue & Shasuimaru
Tears flowed down her eyes as she stared at the burning twins. What use was there in living when everything you had has been destroyed. She didn’t know.
Him…Ryu. The he looked, the way he walked, the way he talked,…his personality. Wait! What the hell?! Why the hell am I thinking of him?! Just then her eyes widened.
…SNAP…
“Oh shit.” She jumped out of they way in enough time to avoid the burning stick crashing down on top of her. She looked all around her. The exit, she saw the exit and ran towards it, dodging all the burning sticks and debris.
She ran faster and slid through her knees into the exit, avoiding the giant bolder about to crush her to death. Ryu…her mind wondered off to him as she did what she doe naturally, dodge and kill, except there was no killing, just dodging.
Ryu, she thought as she made it out of the death trap called a gold mine. Ryu, she had a crush on him since she was little. His coldness towards everyone. It was intimidating, yet inspiring. She wanted to be here…for him, like she always had.
She ran along the side of the cliff, making sure to keep her distance incase she accidentally slipped. Her eyes narrowed as she herd footsteps run really fast towards her back. The were similar to… She turn halfway around to see…
