Shot Down

I want to open the cracks in my skin.
I want to spread wide the fault lines that I'm so familiar with.
I want to finally give in.
Because in my final moments, I know I'll never win.
I want to stand on the edge just to keep from falling in.
I want to feel the temptation, to let go, to sin.

Analise Celter read this poem on the day before she decided her fate, but things don't turn out the way she planned. The very last line of this poem has taken on a new meaning to Analise as she discovers new ways to cope and new people to cope with, but some of these new ways that she is learning have lead her on a completely new path, one that she never even thought about venturing through.
So what will happen when she reaches a fork in the road?
